Probably why noone found the correct value in Cheat Engine before is because the timer actually does not decrease, it increases! It seems Avalanche was a bit tricky on this one
The adress seems to change every time so there is no definite adress to lock. It always seems to begin in 1A5 though.
1) Start Just Cause 2, trigger the timer by jumping off the platform. Open the PDA by pressing F1 and check what the timer says. Memorize it, or write it down.
2) Alt-tab out and start CheatEngine. In CheatEngine, browse the processes and select JustCause2.exe. Choose 'Unknown initial value' from the 'Scan type' drop-down list, '4 Bytes', and hit the 'First Scan' button.
3) Go in-game again, un-pause and let some time go by.
4) Again, open the PDA and check how many seconds have gone by. Alt-tab back to CheatEngine and search for a new value, this time a 'Value increased by...' (or, as listed by the program, 'Increased value by...'), and enter the appropriate value (the time in seconds that passed) in the 'Value:' box. Hit 'Next Scan'.
5) Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you find the correct value, usually an address starting with '1A5'.
6) When found, double-click it to add it to the box below. Freeze it and play for as long as you want.
I can assure you that it works. I have played through the demo for many hours and finished 100% of all the settlements.

On a related note, gave myself infinite grenades by freezing their value. It's hilarious :v:

Yes, playing with Cheat Engine is tons of fun :) Still haven't figured out how to make the machine gun clips never to run out though..

The game increase the time limit the more shit you low up. So yes, 40 is perfectly possible.

The timer in the PDA is actually frozen. I will play for 30 minutes and report back to say if it worked.
My demo timed out.
Trying the 2nd patch now.
Damnit.
I want the crack to work, but it opens and crashes not even a second later. :(
both patches crash me to desktop, and I'm on a 64-bit windows 7.

Nioreh83's post seems to work, although it just appears to lock the demo timer on-screen.
Also, I found how to get the SMG to have an infinite clip. Search for exact value 30, then fire off a round and search for a value decreased by 1, repeat until you have one value. The value I got was 1ED76178
Now I just want to find how to set the reserve ammo up.
E: Done, same approach as before, don't count the loaded ammo only the number in the center.

Try the Cheat Engine method I posted on the previous page. That way you don't need a patched exe.
Just be sure to search for INCREASED values, not decreased. That's why all previous Cheat Engine fixes failed. They were just freezing the count down timer in the PDA.

You should be able to see a very tall tower from the spawn camp area. (higher up the mountais).
Go there and you'll find a basic transport copter. Then just cause chaos until they sic some air support at you and hijack them.
seems you can preorder the game on steam now..$45..I'm gonna buy.
Nioreh83's method works fine. Too bad none of the cracked EXEs posted so far do, it would be more convenient.
