The first game had unlimited grappling hook, and seeing how everything is being drastically improved, I don't think they'd change that. Speaking of which, I would recommend to anyone excited for this game who hasn't played the first to get it off Steam. Right now.

If this game flops it'll be the more disappointing than the Wii. I probably won't be able to play any games for a while because I'll be just that disappointed. That shouldn't happen though.

I was expecting a fall release, so this is AWESOME news.
This looks like the gaming equivalent of a Micael Bay movie, except with a game you're causing the destruction and you can skip the inevitably crap plot.

I'm still worried about two things: Controls, and optimization.
I heard the controls in the first one were awful, and with all the shitty PC ports coming out lately and a game with this kind of free roam they'll hopefully pull off optimization well.

The console version looks to have some visible slowdown, but us PC gamers should hopefully get flawless framerates if our PCs are up to the task. The vehicle controls still look kinda stiff, but if they implement gamepad support this time I won't be that bothered.

I wasn't doubting that. Everything looks so much better it's unbelievable. Been waiting for this game since it was announced, I really hope it's gonna be good.
This game doesn't look promising at all. The first one was alright but the story wasn't nearly long enough and it was wayyy too easy, this one looks like it's an amplified version of everything I didn't like about the first one and the graphics make me believe this is a badly updated version of the old engine which was terrible in the first place.

I cancelled my Pre-Order of AVP and swapped it for this. It's £5 pounds more but the opportunity to attach an enemy car to the side of a bridge mid car chase and watch it spiral out of control will make it worth it. :dance:
I'll get it for 360 because these sort of games never seem to suit PCs.

You can say that about any game, except without the grapple hook, and the grapple hook adds a lot to it.

I thought of something awesome last night. Attaching a person or a vehicle to one of the moving set pieces like an elevator or those ski lifts. Then watch them get yanked away!
