I play on the desktop with a xbox 360 controller, so i have to agree with it being console oriented, it's a pain playing with keyboard and mouse... and normally i prefer keyboard and mouse.
Is it possible to freeze the timer and remove area restrictions with the Steam demo? Or can that possibly get me VAC banned?

I prefer keyboard and mouse in most games as well. But some games just have too many actions that you need to preform at once that make for awkward hand positions when using a keyboard. 360 controller solves that problem.
I just took a screenshot and pasted in it Photoshop, though you could use Paint or something similar.

Vac stands for Valve Anti Cheat. It prevents cheating in multiplayer games. Besides the fact that JC2 isn't made by Valve, it isn't even multiplayer.

VAC only applies to VAC games; I think you can generally substitute 'Valve' in for VAC there, so you should be OK. I'd double-check though.

I just played for quite a while, looked at the Blackmarket, and it was unlocked. Then I proceeded to upgrade it to 6 stars (fully upgraded adds a rocket launcher, apart from all of the other upgrades that it gets)

Did you actually try to use a 360 controller? Finding it "easier" would suggest that you tried both, but did you try both for extended periods of time?

No, but you could just do what I did and activate the trainer after you blow up the biofuel place and do that one mission.

To evade the time limit;
What you should do is, run the game, get to main menu (or ingame, doesn't matter), run the trainer.

By the way guys, if you set the time limit to -1 while you've frozen it in cheat engine, you can just go outside of the demo area without having to modify the .exe .

For the on foot and parachute action, I prefer the precision of the keyboard and mouse. Like all games though, vehicles are better handled with a 360 controller.
So does anyone else still have the massive input lag? No matter if I play with Mouse + Keyboard or Xbox360 controller I always end up with some kind of weird lag, especially when driving cars. The black car at the gas station really has about 0.5sec of lag before doing what i press.
Not Vsync, not AA and not AF related.

For the parachute using a controller is better though, you can lean slightly forward to keep your speed up without having to tap the w button over and over. Controller is just better for this game all around to be honest.

Use cheat engine and edit the memory manually. It is easy and doesn't fuck anything up at all.
