2 lightening strikes took their toll on the poor thing. It started failing recently, and I'm currently in the process of building a new one.
My middle name is Lathrop and I was born in 1920. (I'm going by the superior novelization, bitches.)
I really hope they pull something big out of this. I realize that it's optional on our end, that they're doing this to help out the indie developers, and that they're interested in giving us cool stuff to do (which are all good things), but if this all just boils down to 5 hours off the release date, I don't think it'll have been worth it. A fun ride, to be sure, and we're glad to have those 5 hours, but I'm not sure the hype will have been lived up to.

The five hours wont make a difference to us who have school or work Tuesday. I think it was pretty stupid on Valve's part to not release it Friday, which would've given almost everybody an entire weekend to enjoy it. A lot of us have only a few hours of free time total during the week, and I wont be able to play for very long until the weekend.
I hope there is something else to this. I would've preferred a Valve controlled Friday or Saturday release(like how they lied about the Golden Wrenches) than a player controlled Monday release. It'll make me even more angry if we find out Valve is controlling this thing, and intend for it to be released tomorrow or early Tuesday.
