You don't need to say it's a theory anymore, just look at the KF bar and check it with scripts. The thing is increasing so fast it's losing hours in just minutes.

doesn't really matter either way, playing or not playing, the release time was always gonna be the same, maybe if your mega lucky you'll get it an hour early. Thats no real reward for the amount of wild goose chasing people have done the last week or so. Meanwhile they sold alot of old indie games.
I personally this this was a low move by valve, really low.
