This is the most insane theory yet.
give it a try and we'll see what happens
if there isn't a visible increase, ok. we were wrong. go back to playing.
but if we're right, we get it much sooner. it's an experiment.
THIS IS A GAME ABOUT SCIENCE AND SCIENCE NEEDS EXPERIMENTS
You faggots need to stop idling and go outside so we get Portal 2 sooner.
Aw shit, the snapshot program is giving off an watermark so big you can read whats done or not.
Anyone got another program which takes pictures with intervals?

Indeed.
Remember when GlaDos told us the next test was impossible?
Guy from #valvearg2 who's saying that this is a perfectly credible theory and that all of Facepunch are embracing it; make sure you make note that it's ABSOLUTELY STUPID and less than half actually think it has any ground.
Oh god.
Imagine if they do this for Episode 3, but it takes a month.
Actually, that would be better, we'd have time to make an actual difference, not just a few hours/days.

in a arg about potatoes
stupid
really
THIS IS MAD
And I like it
If someone want to play game from Potato Sack, he can just change game's ID
You have to own the game for that to work, thus nope.
lets just say for a second more CPUs need more auxiliary power to run.
maybe the theory isn't so bad after all. the CPUs are running at a voltage to low to be overclocked.
whatever, i doubt you can stop those people from believing what they already do before the game gets released.
Well it's not like I own any Potato games, so I'm still gonna be doing what I was when this whole thing started
I don't understand, what do you mean they're ticking off in real time?
Check script KF
45 hours remaining
Check back 10min
42 hours remaining
It didn't do that before. Not while the player count was DECREASING.
Power lowering on all games.
CPU's Lowering on all games. Power upped.
I swear those vines are growing, before they only just reached the bottom bar (the ball) and now they are past it by quite a bit
How will this work anyway? People who ignored us when we told them to play certain potato games carried playing whatever game they felt like and are going to do the same now...
We can't just tell the games fanbase's to just stop playing their favorite games and go fap or something for the next day...
in a arg about potatoes
stupid

There have been ARGs with stupider subject matters (for example, BEES), but did they tell you to stop using the company's products?
There have been ARGs with stupider subject matters (for example, BEES), but did they tell you to stop using the company's products?
did they tell you to START using the company's products?
honestly until we try you're being stubborn
You're paranoid.
No i'm just bored :saddowns:
Guys, how about we just make an effort to stop on ONE game. That way, we can test the theory, and if it proves false... we've only lost progress on that one game. Otherwise if it turns out it works, we can then start stopping on the other games. Just a thought.
The whole 'stop collecting potatos' thing makes sense though, why are we even trying to boot up an evil robot?
You're doing it wrong.
Say there are 60 people, and they play for 1 minute each. Then that's 1 hour off the time.
Say they play for 2 minutes each. Then that's 2 hours off the time.
But what if they play for an HOUR EACH. Then that's 60 hours off the time.
You're thinking that it's individual, that each player has to play 1 hour before it's added to the bar, which it isn't.
that's assuming that it goes by hours
what I remember is for the bar to increase by a percent there has to be a cumulative amount of 48 hours
The problem is that getting thousands of people to stop will be near impossible.

Actually, more like an idea. If we stop Audiosurf.
The whole 'stop collecting potatos' thing makes sense though, why are we even trying to boot up an evil robot?
so we can play the sequel of the game and defeat it again, d'uh?
