Pfft
TRON's soundtrack is a giant plagiarism of Mass Effect's. Daft Punk hasn't released anything good or that was truly by them since Discovery.
Daft Punk and Valve together?
Way too good to be true, unfortunately :(

Lattyware, the guy editing the Wiki is using the false logic that going for SMB (one of the most popular games) will go quickly. He bases it on the assumption that the whole of the steam community is participating. But when you look at the GLaDOS@Home page, you can tell that not much is really participating. With SMB being a popular game, it is almost an insurmountable obstacle. So, if we work our way up, it will become progressively easier.
Guniv out. Also,
Dr. Dougley: "You are looking at it correctly."
But, they are going for the bigger games exactly because letting the steam community play them only by themselves doesn't seem to be working out, look at all big games progress made since countdown.
It would be funny if most people just got tired of playing games by the time this is over and ended up not playing Portal 2 for a few days.

my interest in portal 2 is already slightly decreasing because of this, but then again it's most likely my own fault for hyping myself up with that timer.

A guy named Mike Morasky composed the music.
Wow I just realised I hadn't started pre-loading portal 2
I think we could have gotten this yesterday if the Steam Community actually cared and did their part. If everyone got just one free NELIPOT potato from the group, we'd have around 2.5 MILLION potatoes. Instead we have 300,000 in the amount of weeks and weeks. No one cares.

You need to own a game from the pack to get a potato from the group.
Also only 4000 odd potatoes till my PI theory is confirmed/dis-confirmed
So did the National really make a song for Portal 2?
You need to own a game from the pack to get a potato from the group.
But really, who doesn't own at least Amnesia or Killing Floor or one of the smaller indie games. Even with that logic, for $2.50 you could get a potato right now.
I don't think the potatoes are multiplying anything at all. They're probably just adding up to something that we will probably never reach.

Fixed (you know it's true)
Dang, misread the original post. Would be awesome though.

Potatoes are only there for false hope so we think we're accomplishing something.

GLaDOS just wanted all of these potatoes to make a bunch of potato pies. :v:

Just like everything else

A Valve employee pretty much confirmed they can be used to overclock the CPU cycles, however, how that is done hasn't been said. If they hit a certain number, maybe we can see a huge boost, however, not enough to know probably.

Hey, I'm not spending 2.50 on a fake potato.

Yesterday, when the java script that showed you how much total game time was required to complete the bars. I calculated when TWEOTW would end if it continued with same amount of cores. The amount of cores decreased although not by much and the bars finished 30 minutes early. I might add that I did my calculations 1 hour before it completed, so I got 1 hour and half until it got completed.

Again, false hope.
I'm mostly being sarcastic when I say that, but to be honest, we've gained at least 150K+ Potatoes since this started and they haven't seemed to make much of a difference.

She want's them because-
Dammit,I'm not suppose to spoil anything in Portal 2,right?

Yes, they did. :)
Never heard of them, but I like them.

You're spending $2.50 on an awesome indie game, RUSH or Toki Tori. I personally enjoy Toki Tori better and had it before the whole thing was known, and think it's totally worth $2.50.
