It sucks that, from what I recall, this is the first time (if not in a long time), that Valve has a game completely finished and ready to go on time with nothing standing in the way, and can easily be released any time they want (some games had issues launching...Left 4 Dead 2 I'm looking at you), but they tease us with some tedious tasks to unlock it earlier (though I still appreciate them at least giving us the chance).

Apparently it has been done for a good amount of time too. I remember hearing Chet? I think it was him anyway, say that the game was completely done.

Yeah, it has been for about... a month or so now. Though most of that was getting back the verifications and all that junk from Microsoft and Sony (if I remember correctly).

It's been delayed twice already, this early release is just blinding us from that fact. They really should've have released it as soon as they possibly could have.

Yeah, that's true, but from everything I've seen, this delay's been worth it in terms of fixing things up and making them look pretty (it's also been the shortest delay they've had I think).
