shouldn't we be doing bit trip beat now?
Cogs shouldn't be too far off now, considering we've got more people power focused on it.
*initiating Rage sequence* SERIOUSLY? 40 FUCKING MINUTES?! Anyway, I need to wait till Audiosurf to help again.
Thread explosion.
arg2 chatroom user Willox indicates since 88 is the ascii code for 'X' then it might mean the Auxiliary Power will kick in at X 375,466 potatos using the number Steve posted in the BostonIndies Has anyone seen Ichiro messages we received April 13th. Potato count is currently at X 357,091.
From the wiki. Please be true.

Disregard this, I fucked up lololololo
This is discouraging to know that so far we've not managed to get a day off, only a few hours.
I read this and thought "Hey, we're not too far off.", then I remembered the mass removal of potatoes that is going to take place tomorrow.
what?
what?
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1842122

If we can max out Cogs before the Potato Redaction, we can still knock off an hour or so with ease.
I still say we should be doing bit trip beat instead of cogs atm
Gais, Cogs demo doesnt give me potatoes. damn it
Yeah, but I don't like posting pony shit outside of the pony thread.
But you still are because of your avatar.
I still say we should be doing bit trip beat instead of cogs atm
We're doing Cogs, no point going against it.
We're doing Cogs, no point going against it.
But bit trip beat would be faster...
We're doing Cogs, no point going against it.
If we had about 3,000 people doing bit trip I think it would be a lot more beneficial.
I'm going to sleep and when I wake up I expect to see at least 3 more games finished.
But bit trip beat would be faster...
Then get people to play it, we can do more than one at a time.
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1842122
What button
Basically there was this site that reverse engineered the IDs in the potato getting URLs that pop up in-game, and you could login with your steam account (through OpenID, not giving out acc name and pass naturally) and then it'd calculate the URLs for your Steam ID and go to all of them, essentially giving you a bunch of potatoes you did nothing for.
so its cogs now?
How do they know who cheated and who did it properly?
When you go to a URL in general it sends more information than just your IP. It sends useragent (browser type, OS type) and stuff too. They can probably filter out the real potatoes (Steam browser) and the fake ones (earlier mentioned website) from the access logs. The only problem I see with this theory is that people who saved the URL in the first phase (when there were no passwords known yet) for using later while being logged in with steam in a normal browser might cause false positives as well.
How do they know who cheated and who did it properly?
Valve's probably just gonna knock off some random and oversized number, then tell us about some tracking system that doesn't exist. :ninja:
Valve's probably just gonna knock off some random and oversized number, then tell us about some tracking system that doesn't exist.
Wouldn't it be if you had 15 potato's and only owned like 2-3 games from the potato sack wouldn't they be able to tell.
