I'm not sure who installed all those crappy walls honestly, I'd remove them as there are too many and they just look bad.
That was me, I added them since they're much more versatile and less garish than the Highway walls. But yeah, there is a lot of them, I've removed 5 of the groups plus the dividers so the Mass Transit menu should be quicker to scroll now.

Yeah, all the clutter is really annoying, there's too much in the transport folders.
Apparently it got deleted.
Yeah I deleted it afterwards and just started over. For once my city does not have traffic issues.
I miss my Island from the last colab. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/inz1i.png[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/nRYb8.jpg[/img_thumb] Was so pretty :c
I miss my stuff from the first one. Anyway, do you have the files from the last collab?

Putting a railway in my city reminded me why I like to only use subways, because rail interferes with my modular city planning.
Putting a railway in my city reminded me why I like to only use subways, because rail interferes with my modular city planning.
Just place rail at the edge for connections (no stations) and industrial demand caps will break, no seaports required.
My friend on steam bought me simcity 4 deluxe and cave story so hopefully I can join you guys. Still need to install it though.
Just place rail at the edge for connections (no stations) and industrial demand caps will break, no seaports required.
There are supposed to be caps on Industrial demand? Even connecting a road to a neighbour without there actually being a neighbour will let freight trucks leave.
There are supposed to be caps on Industrial demand? Shittopia is only like 2 blocks away from you.
There are supposed to be caps on Industrial demand? Even connecting a road to a neighbour without there actually being a neighbour will let freight trucks leave.
Indeed there are caps, but I can't get any statistics on the effectiveness of rail connections unfortunately. Though I can say the ARC and University raise the cap 250,000 for high tech so it's kind of hard to notice unless you're building huge dirty-only cities.
Hey DaCommie, are you interested in setting up a neighbor connection? Shittopia is only like 2 blocks away from you.
Sure, so long as it's to one of my highways, if you want to start a city on that empty lot go ahead.
So Superjails coming along nicely, city is growing bigger every day and ive still got a little room to expand. Only the teachers and doctors go on strike. Every single month. Theres not a single spot in my entire city that doesnt have medical coverage, there are clinics in every block and funding is at maximum yet they still strike for more pay/more medical clinics. what the fuck

Oh no, its happening. I try and make a shift from all the dirty industry over to high tech industry because the demand is high and none of the fuckers want to build any of it because the land value is too low. Superjails barely keeping above the red dollars.
I'm in the group chat if anyone wants to come.
I thought here would be good to ask: When do you put railroads in your city//upgrade your cities transport? I find that when I do it I destroy tons of homes in the process. But this seems awesome. I always hated playing SimCity 4 alone. (By that I mean all the regions being mine.)
At the very beggining of your city.
At the very beggining of your city.
Wouldn't I have to worry about the budget?
Making money isn't all that hard really. Just place everything down hit fast forward pause ever minute to check on electricity and water and you're swimming in cash.
Anyone else getting huge, unstopable high-tech demand from the very beginning in game? I started a new city and managed to get a nice high tech industry zone from the very start.
I honestly don't know why my city just stopped progressing. The city exploded at first, now demand is negative across the board. Desirability is green everywhere, all the social services are paid for and cover the city, garbage doesn't even exist, commute times are low everywhere, I don't get it. Just started a new city, and R$ is insanely negative? Only R$$ and R$$$ want to come, yet only farms exist?

Maybe someone is using an RCI cheat?
How about a cheat that makes the sims call the FIRE DEPARTMENT when there is a fire instead of the freaking mayors office. I got shit to do today people!
How about a cheat that makes the sims call the FIRE DEPARTMENT when there is a fire instead of the freaking mayors office. [editline]8th February 2013[/editline] If it's not in a covered zone it will tell you to dispatch them manually. I think.

For example, I had a huge industrial fire once that spread all across the block, but as soon as I put a station nearby, all the fires went down considerably in size.
im pretty sure someone is using an rci hack now, pretty much all my cities demands for high tech have gone down the shitter and they were doing fine before
