Simcity has autosaving?
It's a mod.
Ah, I'd find it much safer just to manually save every 5-10 minutes.
I even reinstalled the game, nothing. I give up.
Are you sure the region is fully downloaded? Do the plugins work with the symbolic link? Did you try scrolling down the region list? (Stupid question, but I didn't see it at first)
My main city, Portsburgh, got currupted, though I have saves persent on my computer. How can I reset my city to a previous state?
Forest Port now has a dedicated freight line from my aggravatingly-named city :v:
I connected it up, you still need to connect to my highway :v:
My main city, Portsburgh, got currupted, though I have saves persent on my computer. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] Also I think it's about time we start planning out the TRANSREGIONAL HIGHWAY!
Can I give you guys a suggestion? Whenever you start playing (before you start playing) write your name and city name in a txt file on the root folder like "currently playing" and then delete your name afterwards so we can tell who's playing at the time. also I'd like an invite.
Join the group chat when you are playing guys. Its lonely in here.
PM me with your email, and surprisingly enough we haven't had too many problems with corruption so far now that we switched back to Dropbox.
I'm going to join the region now, I finally have time! :)
Im having trouble remaking Portsburgh. I delete the old region files, update, paste the new region files, they are synced, update, then still corrupted. Help?
Facepunchiav3 is taking an awfully long time to sync, only certain player cities aren't syncing.
Try restoring one of the revisions that Dropbox stores. Just right-click on the file on the Dropbox website and click "Previous Revisions"
Awesome, I'm in. Thanks!
UGH, I did the "Pick Link" thing and when I go to the regions folder and select "Drop As" There is no Symbollic Link option even though it is installed.
There's something I've always wondered about SC4. Say you have this setup: C=city 0=empty 000 C0C 000 You have two cities and in between there's an empty space. If you build a road in that empty plot there, will it connect both cities? could sims travel from one side to the other?
UGH, I did the "Pick Link" thing and when I go to the regions folder and select "Drop As" There is no Symbollic Link option even though it is installed.
On XP you have to use "Junction."
On XP you have to use "Junction."
Ohh alright, thanks!
Can't tell if I'm doing badly or not with Moscow, progress is horribly slow however (8k population last I played)
Hm ok, I did everything right, started the game and Facepunchiav3 isn't appearing in my region list..
my cities is still corrupted and Im stuck. Tried pretty much everything. Im not sure if Im doing something wrong. Can you explain in detail how to manually reset a city to a previous save?
Lemme do it. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] Ok, try now. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] Urgh now all the Portsborough cities are gone. [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] I don't think I can restore it back. It keeps deleting every time I come into region view. I hate to ask, but would you mind rebuilding? This just isn't working.

This just isn't working.
It might have been me trying to restore it at the same time as you. I added a backup city foldier to the public dropbox with my city saves within it. Would you mind try one last time without me interfering? Try the newest save, if that doesnt work, try the next one, and so on.
Try now [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] No, it's removing itself again. We're going to have to start from scratch :/
Try now [editline]1st February 2013[/editline] No, it's removing itself again. We're going to have to start from scratch :/
Wait, everyone or just me? I don't really mind starting over I guess.
Eh, I wouldn't mind starting over from scratch. My city is complete shit anyways.
Eh, I wouldn't mind starting over from scratch. My city is complete shit anyways.
Oh fuck did I just force a reset of the entire map?!
What? No! I just meant your cities :v:
A few hours later and Portsburgh is having 160,000 inhabitants, making lots of cash, A+ education and High-Tech industries :> Haven't even used 10% of the space I intend on using. EDIT Make that 216,000 inhabitants. I now hold the single largest city so far. Can someone beat me?
Wait Ratchet what is with the disjointed piece of region that got stuck right in the middle of the ocean? :v:
I wanted to keep myself safe from corruption, I'll try to fix it but whenever I make a region around and reconcile the water appears broken.
