I moved both my cities away from that boner, and now I don't get my power deal some how. only my garbage deal. I would make a giant industry city then have it buy all its utilities from my main residential city.
I think we should get a mod to dispose of garbage in a cleaner way, i hate putting landfill and incinerators in my citys

'Start' a town neighboring yours, that is just a landfill/incinerator. Ship garbage to them and receive power.
I dont like doing that i actually want to make use of all the tiles and have as little pollution as possible

Yea, I do think SimCity needs a more interesting garbage system. I like some of SC5's options. I do like the sludge system.

I know you said you didn't want to, but I generally build twin cities. A Industrial city, or a business city. I then main my main city Residential/Commerical with all utilities and my industrial city which has no pricey regulation then buys from the main city. Works well.

When you get on the Dropbox, all the plugins are in there.
Whats the new mod that got added? Funding mod?
It's a cheat mod, apparently. It's only for cash, though, so it's not that big of a deal. If it was for demand, I'd be knocking skulls right now.

Ahh, 30k citizens and a high mayoral rating. I don't think I've ever progress this far in SimCity before, a bit proud of myself :)
Only real problem I'm having right now is waaaaaay more sims than actual jobs available, so I need to lay more zones out for that or upgrade some zones to medium density/high density. I did that for a small portion of industrial area and they just spazzed out and shit out a bunch of construction sites. Had to change around a few power plants to compensate for that.
I'm at 150k pop in my main city. and 40k industrial jobs in my sister city. Trying to hit 500k tonight maybe.

When zoning things like residential and business, should I just start as high density residential? I'm pretty sure low will still build there, but I don't wanna have to go through and rezone everything so buildings will upgrade...

Always zone high density.
Main city is now at 250k pop, 1.5mil Simoleons and I'm at a 10k surplus budget.
one of the mods is breaking my cities, i just removed the garbage dock to see if that was it but its not, fuck :/

I personally always start with medium density on everthing, then rise the bar to high density when the need arises.
Why? First of all it's expensive and you can't affoard that money early on. Second it won't help to get high density since you won't have the population to support it early-mid game.

I hit 350k population now. Though my city is hitting a recession. Demand plummeted and many people are out of work. I need to manage to get more commercial in. I want a big lookin' skyscrapin' city.

Tried it, but everything got fucked. There were zones for commercial and industrial and there were buildings on them but they wouldn't go to fucking work and demand just asked for more residential.
i tried restoring ocean view and forest port to versions from yesterday but my game still crashes without an error when entering those cities, anyone know whats going on? :( i can enter my other cities fine except those 2
