Just think about that, being on a ship which has been infiltrated and it will explode soon because the reactor core is broken or it will fly into a stronghold because something you don't know what is fucked up the navigation system. The laser system is ineffective because something EMP'd everything in a miles radius, the security bots are all attacking both the crew and each other and now there is a fat silver man with a hammer killing everything in the room. All because you imprisoned a mad conspiracy theorist who sympathize with terrorists or found this strange holo-cube thing. I feel really bad for these guys.

What are the Tenno's goal anyway? Do they just want to kill everything not-tenno? Then what? According to the lore all Tenno are warriors who only cares about themselves. I think that we are the bad guys here

The grineer are all clones, so I don't know if their deaths are justified, but the corpus have developed several technological marvels like robots, plasma doors and ridiculous hats! If you exterminate them, you leave all these marvels forgotten and lost. I mean you literally go to their home world and break their newest prototypes in hope for them to unlock the knowledge of how to make a new bodysuit!

They have amnesia from being woken up from cryosleep and have no idea what's going on. The Lotus is the only one helping them, so they follow her advice and that colors their opinion of the universe. But the Grineer do not like the Tenno for unknown reason and have killed countless of them before they were able to awaken. Corpus take apart Tenno exo-armor (with the Tenno still inside), torture and brainwash fellow Tenno, and are just greedy people. No one is a good guy; this is like Warhammer 40k. Tenno are just naive because they know what's going on. Tenno are a warrior society built on meritocracy, but they only care about each other out of necessity; no one else likes them.

Is there any real advantage to doing missions co-op? I figure the enemies are tougher, but in terms of loot do you get the same amount for them or less or what?

If you loose all your health on solo that's it, you gotta use a revive. But if you're playing co-op someone else can revive you for free. There's also more enemies, and more enemies = more drops.
