You don't get emotional over DayZ. Well, at least excessively emotional. If you do, you shouldn't be playing.

I'm glad somebody gets it at least. The same should be said for any game really.
0 players at the facepunch server? :c

and this is coming from a player that kilr killed..i'm pretty sure darkness still remembers it, we looted him too, he's not raging about it, he's being cool about it. I'm sure he wasn't happy we killed him but we have the mentality, especially now, if someone sees us, they want to take us out. so we fire first.
What's the IP for the FP server? I'll put it in the OP.
Anyone know where I can find a map of vehicles for this mod?
IMO gamemode needs just couple of things:
1. More vehicles, loads of shit bikes/cars, better ones should be really hard to get.
2. More base building accessories
3. Something to prevent vehicle hoarding
4. Less drama going on in this thread
[editline]19th February 2013[/editline]
Also how come the official Europe server had much more vehicles? Maybe this server needs a reboot.

I'm ozzup ingame

The official server has more vehicles because Marvin the fucking cunt hardcoded more in.
Read back a few pages and you'll see why the public version is so limited.
Hey eddy I'm just wondering if you shoot about 23 M4 bullets into someone's head while they are standing still and shooting you with a shitty shotgun, and you die and they don't, is that a normal part of the amazing game mode coded by Marwin or are hacks involved?

SA hitboxes are a bit wonky and the M4 has some spread but its the most damaging weapon you can get (other than the RPG but good luck finding ammo for that fucker, we used all 8 of ours by being silly in SF and LV). Next depends on what shotgun, SPAS12 and double barrel can pretty much one hit kill you and the SPAS has a decent range.
I'm more entitled to blame the game.
I left a coach with almost full fuel at the army base if anyone wants it
(Before this I was running about SF, going towards the ship area when a guy popped out of nowhere so I ran back and hoped he wouldn't shoot, which he did with the SPAS, missing every shot so I turned around and shot some M4 bursts at him and he died)
So he's the story:
Well I was at the ship in SF and a guy comes up behind me, magically fucking appears (swam there perhaps) while I was knifing a zombie and starts shooting me with a shotgun, so I equip my M4 and start shooting him, while standing right beside him. I was standing right beside his character in front shooting like 20 shots into his head and he didn't die, and I eventually died to his shitty shotgun. Checked TAB and it seems no one there gained a murder so I have no idea what the fuck happened.
The shotgun was that really bad one, just the basic shotgun. No SPAS or double barrel.

Just firing without anyone noticing you anyway isn't how the game is supposed to be played moron
Personally I only kill people if they shoot first, even if they aim at me, I get ready to fight but I give them a chance not to shoot me and so we can go our separate ways unharmed.
Just firing without anyone noticing you anyway isn't how the game is supposed to be played moron
There aren't any rules on how you can or can't kill people.
except everytime I did that I got killed because they have a one shot weapon that i didn't know about.. so I either run away or kill them
I kill those that look threatening. If they have a big gun and they're aiming at me, I'm gonna use my big gun, too. If they're running around a place that I need to go to, I'll try to get rid of them, even if that means shooting at them.
Today me and a friend killed two guys at the airport, popping them off from a distance with a sniper. They barely had good gear and I apologized, but one of them came back and shot again. If he had just checked global, he'd see that I was sorry, and I wouldn't have to kill him again.
well if they have BR on their name you know what to do
There aren't any rules on how you can or can't kill people.
Rules =/= how the game is meant to be played stop being ignorant
And who exactly dictates how we play a game? People can enjoy it however they want. Bandits are an implemented thing, with skin changes and humanity. Surely that means they're meant to be played, right? If it was wrong, they wouldn't include it, right?
There is no "right way to play". Some people enjoy killing everyone on sight, so let them. Yes, it's not the nicest thing to do, but if it is what they like to do, then let them do it. Unless they're breaking the rules, there's no such thing as a "right way to play".

i would not want to be stuck with you during a zombie apocalypse.
why don't you actually have fun with it? I always hope for best but prepare for worst. Approach cautiously. If you end up joining the person dont just trust right away.
Spergy ass snipers that ruin the game is why i stopped playing DayZ on ARMA

Trust issues and player interaction is supposed to be one of the main aspects of DayZ.
sniping people from far away like an anti-social brat isn't considered player interaction.
Its like going into a sandbox server on garrysmod but everyone is dming. not against the rules but it's not what it is meant for.

It really isn't a rule, or any kind of dictating force, but it's just common sense that it's rude, and nobody but the person doing it thinks it's fun or enjoyable in any way. I could camp on top of a redwood tree in Angel Pines and snipe every single person as soon as they spawn, and there'd be nothing stopping me except for the fact that I would have no idea how to climb on top of a redwood tree. But I wouldn't, because I'm not just playing the game to have fun for myself, but also let the other people get a head-start and go about things realistically.
[editline]a[/editline]
I stopped playing classic DayZ for the same reason. I didn't really get mad because I lost all of my "hard work", I just wasn't even able to do anything to start with because everyone assumes that everyone else is about to kill them. 6 times out of 10, some trigger-happy CoD kiddo would spray me with bullets before I even found a gun, to prevent me from becoming a threat later.

You're confusing your type of play style with others, not everyone wants to try and join up with new people, as they already have a group of people they trust. And not everyone can be trustworthy, and it's not always worth taking the risk of befriending strangers. People don't have to abide by everything others say about the game just because of their own opinions.

I needed to get into the airport and two people were running around shooting stuff. They didn't look very friendly and they ignored our greetings in local chat. If I were to encounter someone who put their gun away, or put their hands up, I wouldn't attack. There's no reason to kill people for the sake of killing them, so I'll only ever attack if I feel like me or my friend are in danger.

I didn't sit in the hill camping. We planned to drive around the airport and look for stuff when we spotted some corpses. A bad sign. We went to the hill and I scoped in and spotted them, and my friend and I decided they could be a threat and I killed them.
Also "anti-social brat" are you serious it's a zombie apocalypse

You don't seem to get that I agree with you. Just because I had a sniper rifle doesn't mean I was camping. I don't kill on sight, but if I spot someone that could interfere with me or my friend in any way, I'll attack.

I wasn't disagreeing with you in the first place, I was just referencing what Kilr and Sublimity were doing. I thought you were trying to justify the vehicle-hoarding and killing new players at spawn that they did. And shooting out the headlights on my brand new bus.
I never hinted at justifying those things in the slightest. I just said that you shouldn't moan so much about people killing people in a game that allows people to kill people.

You're really damn thick-headed.
or you just dont have a grasp on english i dont know. no where did i say you have to join someone, or make friends. I said picking people off without even interacting with them isn't how the game is meant to be played. and it fucking isn't. just because it's not in some server rules doesn't mean it isn't fucking true.
it's like spawn camping, or building sperg-spires in minecraft. It's doable, just fucking DONT.

It's like you ignore anything we have to say and only read the parts that make us look like cold blooded killer. I've said over and over, the only people we have attacked we have considered to be threatening.

Calm down, if, like you say, it's not in the server rules, why are you having such a problem with it? There's nothing wrong with not interacting with people before killing them, I understand if it happens to be spawn camping, that isn't very fair. We're not going to interact with people who we know most probably will be hostile (they weren't answering us, in global or local chat). That was enough interaction to know that we couldn't fulfill our plans without them becoming a problem.
