Joined a random server with around 50 people with a friend of mine.
We meet in Los Santos, we somehow managed to find a shitload of gear (Alice Backpack, Rifle, Combat Shotgun and a few SMGs)
We go around Los Santos looting everything to find
We find a working Bobcat
We go to the hospital near Glen Park to get some medkits and blood bags.
We shoot a few random zombies
We find out there are actually two heavily armed players between the zombies, one of them has a bandit skin.
My friend manages to shoot and kill one, but the other tries to drive off with our (by now damaged) Bobcat
I think he's going to get away and shoot a few times at the car with my shotgun.
mfw he flies out of the car
mfw they both have a shitload of weapon
mfw someone else rolls by on a bike and kills us both with his deagle
This is a fun game
Man I can't find any vehicles at all. I've been looking everywhere, and the only thing I've found is broken humvees by the army base in LV
This could be even better on GTA IV.
Doesn't even have to be in LC, plenty of custom maps available.
wouldnt the maps be too small?
Hint: never ever check how long you can swim underwater

I gradually gathered an arsenal of weaponry and walked to the military base where I spotted some guys in the default skin dicking around with a car. I approached stealthily, hoping to talk, but then their friend in the military skin opened fire and shot me to death while I ran away.
I'm not going to play this alone again, fuck that.
It seems fun anyway.

My friend starts screaming
I panic

Ok servers up, I'm just gonna be running it through a couple of tests though first to see if everything works. Then I'll open it to the public.
A lot of people can't grasp how MTA works. Clients can't have mods. At all. Any and all mods are controlled by the server. Any client mod like custom vehicles, FPS counter, etc. is controlled by the server. I've spoken to the devs about this ( I am a big MTA fan and contributor [url]http://mtasa.com/donate/[/url] ) and they have security concerns. Just a little FYI for the uninformed.
This is a great gamemode and I think /v/ & /vg/ popularized it. If you have any questions with setting up an MTA server or any MTA client help, head to irc.gtanet.com #mta. Many members there, willing to help you out.

The game is way too easy. Zombies are no treat, if you can't win you just run away. If they made the amount of zombies 5 times more I would like it.
Had my first proper DayZ rage.
So I and friend 1 (F1) and friend 2 (F2) spawn, we run around for a bit finding replies and then find eachother at the boats in San Fierro. That's all good. F1 died - from bloodloss after jumping into the water when we found eachother. So me and F2 run around for a bit gathering supplies for a vehicle. I'm overjoyed when I remember that the navy base has a car spawning at all times. So me and him run there, find out we need 2 tires and a petrol canister. No issue. Run off, find the stuff, get back. That's when we discover we also need an engine.
Sighing, we want to get out of there looking for the engine when F2 cries out "I just died for no reason, what happened?" so I start checking the area when I hear a loud sniper rifle in the distance shooting me down in tow shots.
Mildly frustrated at our loss I realize I didn't spawn too far away, so I legged it. On my way, I see that very same vehicle me and F2 tried to fix, driving past me like none other.
Slightly more frustrated I keep going just to get my stuff back. I get there thinking the area is safe now, but nope. I get there, start looting my own corpse and hear gunshots. I just quickly grab the Country Rifle and a bit of ammo I had stored and hide behind another broken down car, firing shot after shot at the guy, out of the 10 I fire maybe 2 or 3 hit him, not seemingly taking him down.
He gets the jump on me with a Katana, and I die.
This time, filled with revenge, I suicide once just to get closer, rushing over there. He's no longer there, so I figure it's all clear again. I however see he's taken my ammo. I grab the SPAS-12 I had instead when I see another guy with a katana running at me (not sure if it was the same guy - this guy had another skin). I dodge him, running into the water. Get back up and try to sneak up on him. I get a clean shot right in the body, he doesn't die. I try to get around him, he pulls out a shotgun and kills me.
That's where I smash the keyboard and quit the game.

I think there's something wrong with how you've set it up. The zombies are spotting me from a literal mile away when I'm crouching and still.
So I throw myself down the hill, get my bones smashed, I am bleeding, walking around waiting for death.
And suddenly a working bobcat. I admire the car, get inside, die.

I was playing on the Europe server earlier and died with some good gear. When I respawned, I was in the desert and ended up in the small caravan park thing. I found a caravan with THREE Sanchezs' just sitting there. One of them had no tires, the other two had 1 tire each. And there were no tires around anywhere.
