Multi Theft Auto: DayZ - Games

yeah their serverside it isnt like a big hub of accounts, you just register for each server and if you ever join that server again you log in w/ the account

Well, I just accidentally killed two people. The first guy I encountered was lagging like hell, and had a gun out. So once he stood still I shot him 3 times in the head with a country rifle. It was only until after that that I realized he had his hands up. The second guy I saved from a zombie, but another zombie was on the roof. In the fight to kill the other zombie he hit me a few times with his knife, and I started shooting him because I thought he was trying to kill me. I down him as he stands over the dead zombie, and try to loot him. When I can't I shoot him again with my shotgun to make sure he doesn't retaliate. He only had a knife and some other stuff on him :/ I don't understand how some of the people my friend and I could be so badly equipped? When I was trying to find my friend in Las Venturas I couldn't hold onto the sheer number of weapons and ammo I found. Max Shotgun, Pistol, and SMG ammo. Had a Deagle, silenced pistol, MP5, SPAZ 12 and a Coyote Backpack. I eventually die because my friend keeps stupidly running around pulling every fucking zombie he can find back towards me. Then after I tell him to take my stuff, he goes and runs off the edge of a quarry like an idiot.

are tents worth setting up? or do the tents get resetted every time the server refreshes it's spawns? I'm thinking about if I should set one up or not. but if I did, I wouldn't want it to be temporary, and if I forgot about it all the stuff disappear, so if any of you know could you please tell me?

uh, I'm having some weird issues. every time I connect my inventory is full of stuff from a long time ago, and since then I've gotten more stuff like night vision goggles and a rifle and such. But everytime I connect I get my inventory set back to that. wth is up with that? I lose everything I find if I reconnect [editline]sds[/editline] oh and the server is down

if its down dont count on it comin back up tn eddy went to bed

Floods of mysql errors and debug text followed by massive spike in bandwidth. I forced a reboot.

I forced a reboot.[/QUOTE] Well this is interesting turns out the client made its self into a forkbomb due to the errors and kept producing mysql instances which resulted in the database getting corrupted and all resources getting eaten. Forcing me to do a hard reboot which is bad, as shown by the fact my bind9 configs are corrupted for 2 domains on my server, one of them is a reallllllllllly long dns record, only way to fix it is to rewrite it. ~Yay~ [editline]12th February 2013[/editline] Also if anyone could find a none obfuscated form of vehicle_spawns.lua_dayz we can have more spawns.

We've been enjoying this a ton, the engine suits dayz a lot better in some aspects, its more fun.
