"Metal Arms: A Glitch In The System" was my favorite game on the ps2, along with all of the "Ratchet and Clank" games.

SSX3 and Tony Hawk Underground.

All of the Sly Cooper games.

Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, and MGS. Some of the best franchises of the PS2 era, hands down.

Drakengard, Burnout 3 and revenge, and DMC3, not the special edition because you're not a gay baby.

Buy Half-Life for the PS2 and you can play vortigaunt mode and the decay campaign.

Gran Turismo 4 Soul Calibur 3 Metal Gear (SOL and SE) Killzone (a.must.have, even if only for playing with the bots) Resident Evil 4 Can't remember any more of those that I have, but Killzone alone is enough to leave me entertained. @ above: ZOE2 aswell! Holy shit I never had this game but I can only say yes to it from what I saw.

My favorite PS2 game is Champions of Norrath. Its a loot based game with a little feeling of hack and slash thrown in. You can pick from 5 classes and each class has quite a few skills and spells you can invest in when you level up. The loot is incredibly fun, and when it takes hours upon hours just to beat the campaign once, imagine how long you can play when there are 5 levels of difficulty. When you beat the game, you can choose an option like Borderlands to restart the campaign with the same character, just with better loot and tons of more bad guys. Also, it's fun as fuck to play co op. Honestly, I'm still looking for a game like it on PC. My friend and I bought a PS2 over the weekend just for this game. That's how good it is.
