Also a pretty weird thing my retail copy of Isaac has sort of merged with the steam version. So it has the same save file as my steam version but it's pre-dlc. I don't think it effects any items or enemies it's just that everything is unlocked. Not that I have a problem with that.
speaking of ipecac

Brimstone is completely broken since the last patch.
Brimstone is completely broken since the last patch.
I took it and it wasn't.
?!?!?!?!?
all three times i've used a heart begger i've given him 6-10 heart halves and gotten nothing. he's a dick.
I'd prefer bomb beggar than this faggot aka worse version of blood bank
Found the Celtic cross. I love the visual effect on the back. way better than the holy grail or wafer or mitre one.
Are there challenge runs based around the seven minibosses, starting you with items related to the different "Sins"? (speed upgrades and The Virus makes Lust, Gluttony would be Lard and Brimstone, etc) If not there should be.
Also, Lard and Brimstone sounds like a demonic cooking show, in which Gluttony prepares meals with the various bosses.

There aren't any ways to legitimately have challenge runs like that unless you restrict yourself to using the D6 exclusively to obtain those items, and even then it's a crapshoot.
A boss set of challenge runs could be fun to try out. Pepper + Number One + Lemon Mishap for instance.
The next best thing is to request for Edmund to either add more challenge runs or to wait for some sort of editor that allows you to determine your starting items (which is unlikely so long as the game is still written in Flash).
The tick should be able to go away by walking into a flame or something
Like a real tick
Oh, so to get "Steven" from the Steven bossfight, there's no "50%" chance or whatever bullshit the Wiki claims.
You have to kill Little Steven WHILE he is attached to Steven, and then it's a 100% chance you get the Steven item (damage up) instead of the Little Steven item (crappy familiar)
Little gish is the best familiar, followed by robo baby
Woo!

I like Little Steven...
This isw so great! I finished the game for the first time almost a week ago and I already beat it 2 other times with 2 new characters! Everything is getting better!
I discovered that you can spam the IV Bag while you're invincible from being injured. I got 35 coins from 6 hearts, which would be doubled outside of the womb.

My current run has been so ridiculous.

There's about 20 different cards there.
[editline]2[/editline]
OH MY GOD IT KEEPS HAPPENING. That's 10 soul hearts (some not visible) and about 30 cards (I lost count in the twenties)

[editline]3[/editline]
I swear this just keeps getting more and more ridiculous. I have 73 coins, 3 beggars, and two "two of diamond" cards.

I was wondering about the deadly sin mini-bosses the other day...
I get lust, because it basically tries to hump you to death
Greed makes you lose money, spawns in shops, and looks like the shopkeeper
Wrath is really destructive
Gluttony is a fatass
And I guess Sloth kinda makes sense, being slow-moving and summoning faster-moving minions...
But what's up with Pride and Envy? I don't really get how their attack pattern or appearance has any connection to... pride or envy.

Envy multiplies as it dies, growing
Pride seems normal, but is actually very destructive
[editline]16th June 2012[/editline]
Shooting in the dark here though
Pride's non explosive attack also kinda screams pride.

Greed appears in shops and secret rooms. It's interesting because his appearance is a way of punishing the player for being greedy.
Gluttony not only is obese, but he drops health upon death, either as <3, Bucket of Lard, or 2-3 hearts.
Sloth sends other enemies to do his dirty work for him and only attacks if you are too close for comfort.
Edmund compared Envy to a troll; in the sense that attacking him only creates more. Jake's analogy to how that applies to jealousy works too.
Pride being self-destructive if in excess would make more sense if Pride's bombs actually damaged himself, but I presume that was removed so the boss wouldn't be a complete cakewalk. Other than that, I can't think of any explanation for Pride's attack pattern.

Mainly due to the amazingly overpowered polyphemus+tech2 combo
I love it

Damn, I'm not going to be able to hop on that right when it's released since my computer isn't usable for a bit.
At least that'll give them some time to fix the bugs before I dive into the content. I hope that the homing/automated tears and helpers attacking things that aren't there/invincible targets is fixed. I've had a few runs significantly damaged because IPECAC decided to home towards Mom's foot despite it not being there to hit. The AI isn't that intelligent in that regard :v:

hasn't that thing with homing shots and mom's foot always been the case?
A shame that BoI never got a green light to get on the 3DS. Not being able to play my PC games is taking a toll on how bored I am. I need my fix, man.

It would have been awesome to have Isaac on a handheld.

Yes, but that doesn't make it any less annoying. The ability to fly into and out of challenge rooms was patched recently, what's to stop Florian from fixing a functional bug that has been in the game since the start?
The bug is more prevelant now with the new additions: Daddy Long Legs (both the boss and item), Sacred Heart, Invulnerable flies, Masks of Evil, Mask of Infamy, Pin, Green turret heads, Moving spike traps, and more. All of these brand new things are affected by this bug, I'm just impressed that it's stayed off Florian's radar for this long.
