I just found the halo in the devil room for 1 heart. That makes zero sense but I can't complain, it took away a heart and gave me a heart.

Was there a sleeper patch somewhere along the line? I've run into a few items in places where they aren't normally supposed to be, or at least one would assume that.
So far I've found Halo, SMB Super Fan, and Stigmata in a Devil Room and I've gotten Bloody Lust as a boss reward.
Edmund really needs to rethink how item distributions are balanced.
Yes, also more powerfull items should be availible later in game.
It is neat to get Epic Fetus on the first floor, but it is getting out of hand.
If not this, at least even the chances of old and new items. I haven't seen X-Ray or Spelunkier in a long time.
I'm stopping my Platinum God progress until the rebalance + content patch comes out in the next couple days.
I can't seem to enjoy myself that much when every single run has flying + spectral tears, mega fetus, or IPECAC. I'd rather not have to abandon items in order to enjoy myself-- plus there's a ton of items that I have not seen in ages and yet the WotL items are popping up like daisies.

I also found little gish in a treasure room and brimstone after a boss.
I'm pretty sure someone already mentioned the "Polyphemus+Technology" combo that gives huge lasers. I got that with Number 1, the Ouija Board, and Cancer. Killed [sp]Isaac[/sp] before he could summon a second group of angels and killed Greed a couple of times before the "Vs. Greed" text went away.

I just had an incredible run. I had so many red hearts they went out of the lifebar. I had also a lot of soul hearts, but at a point I lost count.. It was as cain, and I didn't even use the prayer card. holy shit. I beat [sp]???[/sp] by standing still and tanking the hits. and after that, I still had all the red hearts it could show.

I just had a run where I gave a Beggar 6 cents, and he gave me a quarter.
Somewhat related, that run was epic. Clicked Random for the character, got Cain. First, I got The Hanged Man. Okay, sweet, flight is good. Then, I got Ipecac. Okay, not bad. Later on, get Epic Fetus. Then I get Book of Revelations. Then I find The Habit on sale in a shop. Knowing that I could aim the missiles with the mouse, I was an unkillable death machine raining orbital nuclear death upon my foes. [sp]Isaac[/sp] went down in 10 seconds. I had such a good set going that when I got to an Angel room in the final level, I passed up the Prayer Card.

I really like the style Edmund drew the chests/TNT/poop/boss door and such in. I hope he makes a game using that as the main art style, cause they are very nice.

Unless your bombs have upgraded blast radius, you can place a bomb on the top or bottom across the gap, then it will only destroy the rock in front of the beggar.

I just had 3 error rooms in 1 run.
one of them had 2 items
Moms knife + sacred heart + goat hoof + some more powerups=
Mom - one hit ko
mom's heart - 3 hits ko
[sp]???[/sp] - run infont of him with my white knife and he died in 2 to 3 seconds
