Does this mean you won't be doing the sprites? :(
nope, i have no time to work on the remake, so yes other people will be remaking the art if it happens. but dont worry, they will be basically tracing over my work and they are very qualified artists.
Ah well I'm okay with that then. God damnit, my automerge.
I've always thought you were completely insane when you wrote those TF2 weapon ideas back then. Always incredibly far fetched ideas. I see you haven't changed. :v: I'm liking this though. You should totally team up with a few motivated artists and programmers, that would be potentially quite awesome.
You honestly thought for a moment that I WASN'T insane? HAH!, my good man, genius and madness walk hand in hand, and i'm nuttier than the feasting halls of the Squirrel King! It helps to be crazy as a developer, you have more ideas that way; not all of them good ideas but still they're ideas. After all, an idle mind is the devil's monkeybars, and when ideas linger in a brain that just can't get to sleep, strange trees take root and bear most peculiar fruit. Nonetheless it'd probably help to remain somewhat grounded at times; too high and your head's in the clouds, plus you'd probably end up going over-budget. I don't like to think with too much of a financial bent, since I fear that too much obsession over money would squeeze my soul out like toothpaste and twist me into something I truly fear, but financial forethought is necessary for game development or pretty much anything nowadays; so many projects have aimed so high, yet have needed to be cut down like the heads of a hydra. Another project of mine, the episodic Lovecraftian action-adventure RPG that i've been writing about for years, has probably had a fuckton of feature creep and constant change, even though it's pretty much just a concept, almost a design document. Nonetheless it's aiming pretty high, and before it could even enter legit pre-production, i'd need to build up my cred as a developer, with smaller yet still rather entertaining games, so that people would be keenly watching for what i'd probably call a potential magnum opus. After all, even having a mega-amazing game isn't enough if no-one knows who you are, and even when it becomes a lucky smash-hit like Notch and his Minecraft, i'm not too willing to put my faith in luck to determine whether PulpCraft would be a "game-of-the-year" that struck gold-plated diamonds or an obscure "diamond in the rough" that flew under the radar and cost the developer dearly. Building up a prior repertoire could be the make-or-break for the game, so before PulpCraft gets developed i'd need to develop smaller games that help me establish a good reputation as a developer of cool games. Main thing here is skill and motivation; I still need my university course to increase my experience in terms of games development, and hopefully that'll set my gears in motion to make something amazing, since right now i'm more-or-less all bark and very little bite. I hope university changes that. Anyways, thanks for the approval.
Genuinely unsure how he'd handle doing that. "Uh sorry dudes who bought the old flash version, if you want could always by Isaac HD REMIX!" Not saying keep it off PC but would have a lot of angry dudes saying he ripped em' off.
Well they'd be idiots because the game was, at most, 5 bucks to begin with. Yeah, people would complain, but who cares? You know people would buy the remake anyways.
So, uh... ...who told me health down pills reversed their effects when you're one hit away from death...?
So, uh... ...who told me health down pills reversed their effects when you're one hit away from death...?
Only Bad Trip reverses when you're one hit away from death, Health down only reverses if you have one hear container

finally could beat the game with out cheating
I really like this :v:
It's funny 'cause it's true, i'll tell ya what. What can I say; I like using wordplay.
I wonder why they're redrawing it when they could just rip the sprites straight from flash?
Higher resolution.
Higher resolution.
But aren't the graphics vectors? The whole point of vectors is that you can upscale them without pixellation or quality loss. [editline]1[/editline] I mean, in Isaac, the sprites scale up to any size without becoming pixellated.
You honestly thought for a moment that I WASN'T insane?
I know this isn't the right thread but I reeaally want to hear about this game idea you have :x
I know this isn't the right thread but I reeaally want to hear about this game idea you have :x
I'll PM you the basics later. There's a lot of stuff involved.
Sorry to burst in with my issue, but I've bought this game and dlc during the sale and now when I start the game I can only play WotL. Is there any way to play the normal game while also having the dlc?
I just finished the game for the 4th time but I don't have The Quarter achievement. What the heck?
I just finished the game for the 4th time but I don't have The Quarter achievement. What the heck?
On steam? Steam likes to give you the achievements later. Much, much later, when launching the game.
Oh hey, neat. Binding of Isaac is in the Daily Deals. I'm gonna buy Wrath of the Lamb, but should I save it in my inventory until I beat the game 10 times or whatever? Or just apply it? I know some people said it kind of fucked with game balance.
This game is hard and creepy :[
BoI+WotL are $1.98 together; to those without, buy them!
Oh hey, neat. Binding of Isaac is in the Daily Deals. Neat.
Uh guys? Guys? I think I've won. I found moms bra too. I froze mom and It lives. Blew both up before they even made their first move. That was an amazing run!
Bought the soundtrack, worth it.
Judas tongue is glitched for me. Satan kept asking 3soul hearts for his stuff. For fuck sake, as Eve I'd rather give useless red hearts instead of wasting so many of my important soul ones. But nope, twice in a row, only stuff for 3xsoul hearts. hhn.

Since Judas' Tongue forces the price of all Satan items to 1 heart container, it's normal that you see more items that cost 3 soul hearts.
So something weird is happening to me at the moment. I'm playing as Maggy on The Caves II When I jumped down to the Necropolis the game froze. Fine, I thought, probably just a merging of floors. But then something weird happened. The memory sequence which happens in between floors turned completely white, the only thing I could see was Maggy and the "bubble" appearing which didn't contain anything (usually something like Isaac getting his trousers pulled down), and Maggy didn't move at all, and no music was playing during the scene. Then when I enter the Necropolis no music is playing and all of my hearts are gone. I (sadly) wasn't able to get a screenshot of the white-dream, but I have a screenshot of Maggy without any health left. [t]http://i.imgur.com/dx8FB.png[/t] This is beginning to sound like a really bad creepypasta. [editline]13th July 2012[/editline] I've gotten some health back by picking up drops, but still no music is playing, I can only hear sound effects
I've gotten some health back by picking up drops, but still no music is playing, I can only hear sound effects
Options, flip music on and off. It happens when flash hangs occasionally.
I've done it! I got Platinum God! I finished my last run (with cain) with only a half of heart left. Been playing this game for the past few days and I'm finally done. Now I can actually go play something else :v:
