This game is kinda cruel. You get shit like Pin and The Hollow which are piss easy. And then the very next level you get The Bloat or Gurdy Jr. who just wreck your shit in 5 seconds.
Also I remember having only half a heart fighting Mom, I pretty much knew I was fucked but I wasn't going to make it easy for her. So I managed to get her really low, and suddenly die to a fly I forgot was there.

You can't fight the Bloat on the Caves (level after Pin or Hollow).
So what you guys are saying is that Eve is useless, and Samson is a terrible, less-healthy Isaac.

I didn't mean literally after, I just meant the difficulty differs so much between bosses.
So I had PHD, Habit, D20, and proceeded to abuse the fuck out of it in the arcade. I got a bunch of speed up/tears up pills, a surprising amount of soul hearts and eternal hearts, judgement cards, loads of money, things couldn't get any better.
Then the game crashed.

Also Eve isn't that bad if you immediately put yourself to half a heart and then start collecting soul hearts. The whole point is to buy devil room items to get rid of all of your heart containers, then if you have the right items (aka a few damage upgrades), you're pretty much unstoppable.
I hate entering a room with a tonne of enemies and just thinking 'I am not leaving this room with my hearts'.

Well shit. Playing as ??? and got Gurdy Jr. as my first boss. As soon as I got in I used the poop 1 space away from the door and now Gurdy Jr. can no longer hit me.

I seem to always have horrible luck everytime I play as blue baby.
Well, that was my best run as ???. Got Relic as first item. Next floor, #1 and after boss is dead, sacred tears! Goes onto 8Ball. Squeezy and lucky foot. HP up pills every 3 rooms almost. Killed [sp]Issac[/sp] in seconds.
The last 3 runs I've had I died right when I killed Mom.
Why.

That's a bug. Mom's foot creates explosions whenever she stomps, and if you happen to stand in her shadow as you kill her, the shadow will immediately create an explosion and you'll take one full heart of damage.

she only spawns 2 nubs so have her spawn them on one side move away and then it's basically a monstro fight

Except that she can jump entirely across the screen every time she jumps rather than just for the "special" jump that Monstro does. Not to mention those nubs spawn spiders who fuck everything up.
Pink widow is easy, though.
