Yum heart and habit make you invincible as long as you use it every time it charges up.
Revelations and The Nail both do that too. And it doesn't work past Depths 2 because you take one heart of damage from every attack.
Habit is OP and way too common in the shop. I'd say it should charge 2 bars instead of 3 [editline]1st August 2012[/editline] My favorite characters in order: 1. Cain - no bad pills, good damage. His downside is having the lowest range out of all characters. Who cares about that, really? 2. Judas - tons of damage. You kill fast, you progress fast. 3. Isaac with dice - Usually no shitty items, yay
Revelations and The Nail both do that too. And it doesn't work past Depths 2 because you take one heart of damage from every attack.
But again, Maggy spawns with the yum heart meaning you only need to get the habit.
But again, Maggy spawns with the yum heart meaning you only need to get the habit.
I prefer the nail, simply because the yum heart will only be useful if you have taken damage, while the nail will continue to give you spirit hearts.
I prefer the nail, simply because the yum heart will only be useful if you have taken damage, while the nail will continue to give you spirit hearts.
Nail is better in every possible aspect.
You don't spawn with the nail as well as only unlocking it after beating the game three times so it isn't as available as the yum heart. Even if it is better.
I've never seen Book of Belial, Bible and Book of Revelations in the Library.
Bible spawns in Angel rooms, not the library afaik.
I hate Bloat so much. He's the same as Peep except he has those annoying instant brimstones. Horrible and lazy design
Bible spawns in Angel rooms, not the library afaik.
It used to.
Bible spawns in Angel rooms, not the library afaik.
I'm almost certain i saw one in a library today or yesterday.
I hate Bloat so much. He's the same as Peep except he has those annoying instant brimstones. Horrible and lazy design
A lot of the new stuff in Wrath of the Lamb is sloppily designed when you compare it to the original content. It looks like Edmund started adding really cool stuff and then, after the game started to reach the limits of Flash, he went all "fuck this" and rushed the rest. Out of all the new bosses Widow is probably the most original one. Oh and maybe Gurdy Jr too. The rest feels like filler content. Even Isaac and ??? are poorly designed bosses and I don't find them fun to fight. I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't regret getting WotL in any way but when you compare the new stuff to the old stuff there's a great decrease in quality and originality.
second floor, so many gold chests, 1 key
Mom's heart is so easy to kill with explosive shots :D The shit it spawns doesn't even have a chance.
That FUCKING mask
You are actually right about that. First 2 bosses he made were Daddy Long Legs and Mask of Infamy. Both great designed and unique bosses(just because Mask has a horrible(read: way too smart) AI, it doesn't mean it's not a great design). Then he said cellar is focused on spiders instead of flies. When you think about it, spiders are actually really interesting because of their unique movement. One of the best new enemies, in my opinion So basically everything unique and cool was made at the beginning of the development. After that we got green tinted enemies that shoot explosive shots and fucking Bloat. But it's still worth getting WOTL without a doubt. For 2 ojros you get shitton of content.

If we get the new Binding of Isaac in a better engine (Flash is ok but has its limitations; maybe transfer over to Unity or Java), the former issue would be somewhat lessened, and without so many limitations maybe more uniqueness would come.
And coop And replays And mod tools And no FPS drops And many awesome stuff Edmund wanted to add in Isaac, but couldn't because of Flash Just thinking about it makes me moist. I really want Binding of Isaac 2. Maybe in 5+ years that will happen, who knows
Remaking the game in a different engine shouldn't take anywhere near as long considering he has all the resources, sprites, ideas, audio, etc
or he could spend that time working on a new game (because that's what he's doing)
Remaking the game in a different engine shouldn't take anywhere near as long considering he has all the resources, sprites, ideas, audio, etc
He's currently working on Basement Collection. After that he'll start drawing for Super Meat Boy: The Game and finally on a big, unnamed project. According to Edmund, it will be much, much bigger than Super Meat Boy. So yeah, minimum 5 years.

ive never noticed that the amount of levels can change, and since ive only beaten Mom once you can imagine how horrified i was when i suddenly landed in Womb I and II with fleshwalls which ive never seen before, the boss Death and then went even lower to Seoul (or something) with fucking scariest monsters that ive never encountered before unfortunately i died before i could see who the boss was of there :(
I couldn't imagine a Multiplayer Binding of Isaac
I couldn't imagine a Multiplayer Binding of Isaac
I'd rather have head to head, pairing up with someone to see who could get the furthest/fastest in separate basements
I'd rather have head to head, pairing up with someone to see who could get the furthest/fastest in separate basements
And in the end they battle it out
And in the end they battle it out
That would be crazy
That would be crazy
But awesome
I couldn't imagine a Multiplayer Binding of Isaac
Just play the challenge where you get the full super meat boy and it becomes easier to think of.
I'm gonna ask this, but I really want the D20, so if I do a challenge and beat the Cathedral (since you play as Issac), do I win the item?

Give it a shot; you will win a reward after you win anyways. :)
