but
but you CAN trust the little narration there is
[editline]6th August 2012[/editline]
That's the whole point of an opening narration, to solidify 'why is this even happening', and if it is intentionally false that means that not only is Edmund an idiot, he doesn't know how to tell a story either. (Time Fcuk has a pretty good story if you're able to figure it out in your head before you beat it, so that's not really true)

The narration and the whole story are made up by Isaac himself, which is why the intro looks like a bunch of scribbles on a piece of paper. Same for the epilogue. You never really know what's going on for real and you can only guess from a few elements in the game. Like the final final ending.
Say, if anyone's still doing drawings and whatnot, i'm wondering if people would be interested in illustrating parts of my Isaac ideas from a while back, just to see if people interpret them similar to how I imagined them. If you're up for the challenge, the links to the related posts are below. It'd be cool to see them illustrated; to see if others viewed them as I thought.

P.S; the thing with Judas and the book and the burning crayons is actually a shout-out to Nier, that obscure action RPG that Cavia made before they got absorbed into some other company. (the book is a reference to Grimoire Weiss, the party member who was a floating book who cast spells for the player-character, and the "burning blood crayons" are similar to the Dark Lance spell, which looked pretty awesome IMO)
Today I beat [sp]the Chest[/sp] as Eve with barely any damage upgrades and a small amount of health upgrades. How the hell did I do that?
I assume it took a long time. And a lot of dodging.

I just got my Tablet to work
I'm not an amazing artist but I'll put it on my to-do list.
Neat; I anticipate your interpretations.

Just reading this makes me all dreamy

It was probably down to the D20 and the Arcades to be honest. And yes, the run took a while.
Sounds legit. (even when both)

Mega Maggie: W.I.P.

Left: Early doodle to get an idea
Middle: Maggy with Cancerous Boils all over her
Right: Maggie, Tidied up.
Still a Work in Progress, so Crit. is appreciated!
Also, Crayon Peg Legsss
Hmmm, that's actually quite neat. Personally I thought she'd have more crayons poking out of her, like the Iron Maiden monsters from Resident Evil 4, but this iteration looks pretty neat; having the crayons replacing her legs, teeth and fingers is pretty twisted. Not so sure about the tattoos, though; since she's meant to be representative of Isaac's innocence and first loss, and i'd imagine Samson or Luke (representative of Isaac's sin and atonement) being more of a tattoo-user. In regards to the face, i'd have imagined it being more like original Maggy, though the crayon-teeth are a nice touch.
Other than that, it looks good if a little rough; a good effort.
Yeah, I'll probably go through many iterations. And when I said I got my tablet working, that was a little ambiguous; I'm new to art in general, so I imagine I'd suck. Sadly, I'll be out for awhile, so I can't begin work on the next attempt atm, but I'll get through your requests if no one else does. It'll be an interesting exercise at the very least.
The only downside of exploiting the battery with the book of revelations is the fact that you have to spend a minute in every room hiding from the enemy.
Unless you got spirit of the night earlier in the run which means I can just float on a rock and go to Facepunch instead :v:
Huh, I just picked up the Bloody Lust without beating the Womb with Samson. Hell, I don't even have Samson. I'm not complaining.

Seems like the wrath of the lamb pickups are kinda borked. I picked up bloodlust and guppys tail multiple times before I had unlocked either.
Edit:
Beat Isaac with Eve. Thank god for that battery + book of revelations abuse. I guppied all my actual hearts too so I was constantly under whore of babylon.
I unlocked the d6 without unlocking ??? thanks to the ankh, heh

Was literally just fucking doing this, died on Womb I.
Just got a run where I got Dr.Fetus, Mr.Mega and Bobby-Bomb. So awesome.
??? is awesome now because of Polaroid
Aye; the whole "invuln when under half a heart" thing is really handy when you have only spirit hearts; in some ways it helps define Blue Baby's playstyle.

I never find bloat that hard, really. More difficult that most bosses but easily doable, especially if you have spectral tears.

I've always had trouble with Peep/Bloat in general. Mainly because you have to constantly fucking move and It's hard to get a good hit on him.

If you have spectral tears you can pretty much just stand behind the rocks if they're there and spam at him/them. If not, they're a lot harder.
I had just Technology 2 for a Peep fight once, it was a pain in the ass. I had no damage output and whittled away his health for a good 5 minutes until a stray piss blob got me.
I had Bloat come up when I was doing the 9 lives challenge
needless to say I never beat that run
BECAUSE FUCKING GOD DAMN CHEAP SHOT THROUGH THE DOOR
I hate Gurdy Jr.
Gurdy Jr. is...odd. You just need to strafe on the X or Y axis and lob shots at him when he charges into your line of fire.
Ahahaha I killed the Mask Of Infamy in two hits
that was piss
edit;
mom also down in two hits
this run is going to go well
okay that run was perfect, my first run where I could go into sheol and I steamrolled the hell out of everything
