Since when is Blastocyst easy?
IMO he's one of the hardest Womb bosses. Only harder bosses I'd say are Daddy Long Legs and Bloat.

Blactocyst is one of the only bosses where I never died with Gurdy Jr and Scolex.

The best way to fight Gurdy Jr. is if you have any sort of slow-down shots (spider bite, etc). It effectively freezes him in place, he can't charge more than a quarter of an inch before he's stuck again.

Quite true, but it seems that lately these sort of power-ups have gotten much rarer.
Just beat the crap out of [sp]The Chest[/sp] with Isaac. My drops were terrible when I entered, but thankfully I had a lot of damage and tears up items from the previous floors.
Helps that I picked up the Lucky Foot early in the run too.

The new Mega Maggie certainly looks like an improvement so far; also the Isaac and Meat Boy in tiny comparison was a nice touch.

It's more of their attack patterns that give this away.
Pride believes he could destroy you with a diagonal attack, which you shouldn't even be standing there to begin with and bombs that, rightfully even though they don't, should cause self infliction, much like pride damages its beholders.
Envy attacks the only real way envy can be perceived--in a large group

Aww yeah. Now to beat ??? with everyone and also to clear Sheol with Samson.
Well... I cleared The Chest by accident using ???. What kind of accident you ask? I was hoping to complete The Chest with Eve because I finally got a chance to get Brimstone. Ofcourse later on I found Ankh. So... I was able to beat EVERYTHING the game threw at me with 3 Heart containers. On the way I got also lucky enough to get two 1UPs and so I went to face ??? ofcourse I died in the Womb and lost my first 1UP so I picked the second one in The Chest. The thing is I survived with all those 3 heart containers agains't ??? when the sucker got a lucky hit so I turned into ??? with 4 Spirit Hearts. I guess it's a win situation since I figured beating the game with ??? would be hard as hell. More harder than beating the game with Eve and Samson... since they are now the only ones I have to complete the game with (Also I have to complete The Depths without taking damage <_>.).

What. At least you have only one enemy to keep track of, instead of all the enemies that regular Mom spams. When you're trying not to get hit, I find the red champion version of Mom to be the easiest. Mostly because all you need to do is dodge to the right or to the left, save for the occasional projectiles she fires at you.

Failed at Isaac twice. Both times I've got up to him it's been with fairly sucky items and low hp...
I've got almost a day in this game and have never gotten past the depths 1.
