does anybody else ever get into those rooms where they are stuck on a straightaway and it's full of chargers? it's such bullshit, you either have to be strong enough to kill the charger before it hits you or take damage.
Usually I'm able to take a hit and then squeeze by it but it's pretty much just an unavoidable dick move.
It's a good thing you are immune for a while after taking a hit.

I got a dollar and 2x coins card early on, as well as the pope's hat, so needless to say, I had gained 50 or so soul hearts over the run. Fuck, I love these soul hearts

The one problem I have with TBOI is that I'm usually so intent on fighting everything from turd flies to [I]Satan[/I] that I never pay the soundtrack the attention it deserves.

Well, that was a pretty awesome run, up until I accidentally picked up a Tick. I beat the chest for the first time today, it was with Judas.
Getting 3+ guppy items is pretty cool, since it gives you mulligan for free. I had it with brimstone so there were lots of flies.

You don't really have to spoil it, I don't think anybodies experience is going to be ruined by knowing there's more floors than the floor you fight mom.

Every time someone has used spoiler tags in this thread I've just laughed a little. Its not a huge deal knowing who you fight or where you go, its not an intensely story driven game.

If you like taking risks, ??? or Eve, they are really fun to play with if you're confident you'll rarely get hit. ??? has quite a few advantages because anything that normally requires you to be at half a heart will always apply to you. Same goes with Eve, if you try to get rid of all of your hearts and run only on soul hearts. Permanent Whore of Babylon is rather neat.
If you prefer playing it safe, play as Maggy.
I'd go with ???. Get rid of the hardest characters first.

Magdalene is a bad character, but she's tolerably bad as opposed to Eve's complete inability to deal damage.

Unless you get several damage items, it's worthless. It multiplies your damage. Eve's default damage is one. Basically, when you have it on at default damage, you do as much damage per shot as Isaac.
Well turns out I unlocked Samson and wasn't even aware of it. I just kill Mom and had no idea I skipped the last 2 treasure rooms.
