And then Isaac got eaten by a grue... some creature with floating eyeballs (Challenge Presented). Honestly, imagine all the times Isaac must've been eaten alive by hideous fleshy mutants.
All this time we thought bloat was being a cheapskate for 1 heart as soon as you enter a room... turns out he was crying because he has never been hugged, and shot out a large tear of joy when he saw you.
How do you get the D6?
How do you get the D6?
By completing the Womb with... a certain character you unlock by beating the game 10 times.

does anybody else ever get into those rooms where they are stuck on a straightaway and it's full of chargers? it's such bullshit, you either have to be strong enough to kill the charger before it hits you or take damage.
Usually I'm able to take a hit and then squeeze by it but it's pretty much just an unavoidable dick move.
It's a good thing you are immune for a while after taking a hit.

I can't even get to the 3rd basement, I suck so bad
I can't even get to the 3rd basement, I suck so bad
There are only two of each level in a run, Unless you mean getting to the depths.
I can't even get to the 3rd basement, I suck so bad
It's alright. I've beaten the game more times than I can count and I haven't even heard of the 3rd basement, let alone been there.
There are only two of each level in a run, Unless you mean getting to the depths.
Oh yes depths that's what I meant, stupid me
I'm really close to Platinum God now. 2 achievements remain. Dark Boy and Mama's Boy. Ugh. Any tips for these other than "hope it's not the WoTL floors"?
The one problem I have with TBOI is that I'm usually so intent on fighting everything from turd flies to Satan that I never pay the soundtrack the attention it deserves.
Nothing like spawning into a new floor and dropping down next to a shop, using up your only key, and unable to unlock the item room Oh, luck
I remember one time when i played as Maggy. I went into a room, and there was Gluttony. Killing it,a pill dropped. I thought to myself "well the last 2 pills from Glutts were good,so this one must too!" It was a speed down. Well,O.K.,I'll shake it off. TO THE BOSS ROOM! Boss - Gemini . Died on the basement 1. It was so embarrassing.
Well, that was a pretty awesome run, up until I accidentally picked up a Tick. I beat the chest for the first time today, it was with Judas. Getting 3+ guppy items is pretty cool, since it gives you mulligan for free. I had it with brimstone so there were lots of flies.
I am at [sp]Sheol[/sp] after teleporting to an I AM ERROR room for the first time in [sp]The Womb II[/sp] and get [sp]Satan[/sp] down to a centimeter of his life on his final form and a Kamikaze Leech kills me. Never have I been so pissed off playing a video game.
You don't really have to spoil it, I don't think anybodies experience is going to be ruined by knowing there's more floors than the floor you fight mom.
You don't really have to spoil it, I don't think anybodies experience is going to be ruined by knowing there's more floors than the floor you fight mom.
Every time someone has used spoiler tags in this thread I've just laughed a little. Its not a huge deal knowing who you fight or where you go, its not an intensely story driven game.
You don't really have to spoil it, I don't think anybodies experience is going to be ruined by knowing there's more floors than the floor you fight mom.
I just feel it's better to be safe than sorry.
Isaac is one ugly angel. [editline]17th August 2012[/editline] By the way, can anybody explain to me the attack patterns on It lives!? I haven't played in a while, and forgot
I have to finish Cathedral with one more character to unlock my polaroid. My options are Eve, Maggy and ??? Pick my poison
I have to finish Cathedral with one more character to unlock my polaroid. My options are Eve, Maggy and ??? Pick my poison
If you like taking risks, ??? or Eve, they are really fun to play with if you're confident you'll rarely get hit. ??? has quite a few advantages because anything that normally requires you to be at half a heart will always apply to you. Same goes with Eve, if you try to get rid of all of your hearts and run only on soul hearts. Permanent Whore of Babylon is rather neat. If you prefer playing it safe, play as Maggy. I'd go with ???. Get rid of the hardest characters first.
I have to finish Cathedral with one more character to unlock my polaroid. My options are Eve, Maggy and ??? Pick my poison
Magdalene is a bad character, but she's tolerably bad as opposed to Eve's complete inability to deal damage. [editline]17th August 2012[/editline]
Permanent Whore of Babylon is rather neat.
Unless you get several damage items, it's worthless. It multiplies your damage. Eve's default damage is one. Basically, when you have it on at default damage, you do as much damage per shot as Isaac.
Well turns out I unlocked Samson and wasn't even aware of it. I just kill Mom and had no idea I skipped the last 2 treasure rooms.
