By the way, can anybody explain to me the attack patterns on It lives!?
I haven't played in a while, and forgot
How to beat Mom's Heart / It Lives without taking damage:
1. Run in a circle around the room to kill the two eyeballs.
2. Stand on the center of the right wall.
3. Shoot left.
4. When you kill a wave of enemies, go drop a bomb in the center of the room. This will kill most waves before they have a chance to even move (still applies to It Lives, but it won't do much against Monstro and The Duke).
5. Repeat steps 2-4.
Using my patented, super secret special technique, you'll rarely have to even move (other than to drop the bombs). Once Mom's Heart starts shooting at you, you may need to move up or down a bit.

I have a better solution
1. get brimstone
2. shoot heart until it dies, everything it spawn will also die

But Brimstone is actually shit now in regular gameplay.

It works just fine unless you get stuck in a room with tons of quick enemies, The range and piercing are great.
I have a better time with Technology. Get Technology, and you're golden against It Lives. Or pretty much any boss.
The fetus items work great too, but that's a given.
Polyphemus and Brimstone still tear the shit out of everything if you can get both.
Polyphemus tears through everything alone, doesn't make Brimstone a good item.
I finally beat the cathedral

Judas
Apparently you don't lose hearts in Satan's room if you use Book of Shadows.

At least with ???. Maybe not with real hearts
This should be fun...

It's like if you have one spirit heart and no hearts you can take the item and have no HP, but that's not an issue with The Nail, the Mark , and the pact, because you get spirit hearts at one from the pact n mark, and the nail gives you a spirit heart whenever you use it.
i had twelve hearts and 4 soul hearts and 1 eternal heart plus the wafer, and i was ready to take on isaac but then i crashed after i picked up another item and now i'm mad.

Fuck you, wheel of fortune.
Had such an awesome start to the run
The game found a new way of trolling me.
Playing as eve, got myself down to half a heart, and picked up bunch of soul hearts.
And then I picked up a skull trinket. What it does combined with the hearts I had, it sends me back to the previous room if I take any damage at all. Or when fighting a boss - it restarts the bossfight, restoring it's health, but not mine.
Cursed Skull is pretty crap if you don't have good health; what it SHOULD do is restore your health or give you spirit hearts once it teleports you, and only teleport you if your OVERALL health (Red Hearts and Spirit Hearts combined) goes below half a heart. It'd be better for Eve and Blue Baby if it gave spirit hearts, though it could be regarded as essentially infinite lives; UNLESS it had some sort of cooldown or charge requirement. Trinkets with cooldowns would be kinda weird, though.
Also, I wonder what Isaac would be like if it had scores and more stats, like number of bombs used, number of times playing as a certain character, etc.

Now man up and get in that Satan room.
I had black cat and dr. fetus, one of the rooms i came across had 3 Gazing Globins. I blew up the door to the next room (my firerate was too slow to kill them), died and as soon as i spawned i kept getting instakilled by the globins. =(
Wow, that's a real tough draw there; sometimes you get dealt a bad hand in games, and other times your hand lands you a 2-story cottage of poo and sawblades.
Killed Mom's Hearth with Eve.
Thank ou Lard for giving me two hearths for Brimstone.

I did, I killed the the first two forms of Satan, died when he had less than 10% hp left.

Oh my god that is the most inspirational quote I have ever heard.
And on topic is WOTL worth it? It seems like it really adds a new dimension but it feels weird to pay $3 for DLC on a $5 game.

yes
[editline]e[/editline]
I would have said more but you literally have every reason to get this DLC including the content it adds, the low price, and the increase in replayability. Like, why would you NOT get WOTL? It's not a DLC, it's a full-on expansion.

it almost doubles the content so it should cost $5

It's worth it because as everyone's saying, it adds so much.
Just be sure to at least beat mom or mom's heart once, I think some WOTL items spoil the game if you haven't already beaten it
