Ha, I happened to find this in the r34 thread :v: [url=http://rule34-data-000.paheal.net/_images/3ec7d36f2786f4f4745bd6e5ffe2406b/746303%20-%20Isaac%20Magdalene%20The_Binding_of_Isaac.png]It's rule 34 and I'm posting only the url instead of putting it in image tags, you have been warned. If you want to complain, stick a cactus up your urethra first.[/url]

Okay, so according to Edmund, he's not going to fix flying out of gauntlet rooms when the doors are locked, there's going to be a "Skatole"-like item for an enemy type other than flies, and he is looking into adding a Random character option. Neat :v:

I think it'd be pretty cool if there was a character with randomized stats. So every time you pick him you get something different. Maybe one soul heart, three range, one damage. Or two damage, two normal hearts, one range.
snip rate me dumb
I thought that meant that it just picks a character randomly from the existing ones [editline]30th March 2012[/editline] kinda like fighting games have the ?
No, with random stats. [editline]30th March 2012[/editline] Oh, he said he'll gonna think about adding random stats thingy. Forget what I said, I'm dumb

The only problem I see with a randomized character is that it would encourage scumming.
[QUOTE=Baboo00;35361456]That would be cool. Maybe randomized starting items for the character would be interesting too. I like how Edmund is shifting focus to new tear types. Also, are trinkets reuseable or one time?
[QUOTE=~Myst;35363668]I like how Edmund is shifting focus to new tear types. Also, are trinkets reuseable or one time?[/QUOTE] They're permanent passive upgrades for as long as you are holding them in your inventory, they can be replaced as quickly as you found them.
I'm kind of curious to what some of the trinkets actually do though. And then those new pill effects, I really want to know what they are. Man, just wanting to know more about the new stuff in WotL gets you hyped up more :zoid:
[QUOTE=Psychopath12;35364248]They're permanent passive upgrades for as long as you are holding them in your inventory, they can be replaced as quickly as you found them.[/QUOTE] So a bit like A Pony, whose effect leaves when you pick up another item, except that you cannot activate it?
I don't want this game to rely on luck more than it already does, but that might just be me.
[QUOTE=Scarabix;35367460]I don't want this game to rely on luck more than it already does, but that might just be me.[/QUOTE] A skilled enough player can make every build work, it's not reliant on luck.

...White hearts?
[QUOTE=Blueplastic;35369176][img]http://i.imgur.com/ZVH82.jpg[/img][/QUOTE] is that a harlequin baby familiar?
[QUOTE=iLife_Aftermath;35369296]...White hearts?[/QUOTE] Colour me intrigued.
In almost all of the WotL screenshots, his floor has at least one random room with a star in it, implying there's treasure. If that treasure is a trinket, is it safe to assume they'll be about as common as pills or something?
[QUOTE=iLife_Aftermath;35369296]...White hearts?[/QUOTE] I'm guessing that white hearts are going to be temporary hearts that are even more temporary than soul hearts. Like the extra heart you get from using the Strength tarot card that only lasts for a single room.

Otherwise they're pretty useless if you have several soul hearts.
Something i've been wondering for a while...does damage have a cap? As in, if your damage stat is at max, do items like Book of Belial and the Strength card do anything?
[QUOTE=~Myst;35373958]Something i've been wondering for a while...does damage have a cap? As in, if your damage stat is at max, do items like Book of Belial and the Strength card do anything?[/QUOTE] They still increase damage, but only a fraction of what they would normally do.
Didn't Edmund say that Book of Belial, Whore of Babylon and such are actually multipliers? I remember him saying so.
Yeah, I think both double damage, same with the razor.
