Well, if I'm right, Edmund (designer) primarily works in flash, and as such has done work for more flashgames, so it's bound to feel like one.

The quality is much much higher than most of the stuff on newgrounds. And its more fun if you are good at the game.
I guess I can't argue with that, but it still feels like an average flash game to me.

It's actually the programmer, Florian, that caused the game to be made in Flash. Edmund has a lot of experience outside of Flash (such as SMB.)

You're right, I played and finished the original meat boy release (which existed roughly a year before super meat boy) the week it went out and it was pretty fine. It was originally released on newgrounds.
I knew edmund from NewGrounds aswell. If you want an hour or two of fun check out these other games, they're quite recent. His older ones are more experimental, but worth checking.

I think I found a coloured The Fallen once, it was already split when I entered the room. I died by it's hands too.
Didn't know it was like, ultra turbo super rare.

I've seen that once in my gameplay.
I encountered a colored-Fallen only 1 time since I started playing. Immediately after I fought him, I got greeted with Krampus in the next room and died when he had a sliver of hp left.
I think I actually got a Champion Horseman once.

Beating satan with ??? gives you the "Forget Me Now", not the dice.

I just had a super lucky run through The Womb. Had Mom's Knife and kept spawning close to the boss rooms. Finally got through without taking any damage, but the achievement didn't pop :(

Did you do any of the following:
Trade hearts with the Devil.
Find and use an HP Up pill.
Obtain an Odd Mushroom (large) from a beggar.
If so, you should be informed that those all invalidate no-damage runs.

Yes it does. Any item that boosts you a heart up without filling it automatically counts as taking damage.
