Oh god I saw a dream about BoI last night. They had switched the entire game style to the 3D seen in the trailer, and I went frantically searching in the options to find the 2D option again. Luckily I had already gained some achievement or something that allowed me to switch back.

If I remember correctly, I beat Satan/It Lives as Blue Baby with Dr Fetus for the first time, so I'm really glad that I got it, too bad I can't seem to ever find it again.
9-volt + Battery is the most overpowered combo I've ever used that doesn't directly affect my damage output.
I can charge every single item in a single room. Even the ones that take 7 rooms to recharge.
The 9-volt reduces that to 6 rooms to recharge; the Battery gives me 3 charge prior to using the item and 3 more charge after using the item. All it takes is a little patience (2 minutes per room minimum) and I can rake in whatever benefits my spacebar item can reap. It's especially good with items that give you semi-permanent upgrades that persist after you finish a room, such as the Book of Revelations.
It worked well with the following:
Book of Revelations - spirit hearts every room
Yum Heart - heart every room (I raid the blood donation machines a lot with this build)
Book of Sin - heart, spirit heart, key, bomb, cent every room. Minor, but it stacks up
The Poop - If I get lucky, I can get a cent, key, bomb, heart, spirit heart from it. Otherwise I just can use it as a shield every room.
Book of Shadows - Free Devil Room items. Works wonders with Poison Touch. Since it can be used every room, it's the most reliable build I've had that lets me do a no-damage run with ease.
Unicorn Horn and Gamekid - Invuln every room. +health for gamekid. Reduces Devil Room items to only 1 heart each
Mom's Pill Bottle - When used with Cain's Lucky Foot or PhD. there's always going to be something good coming from it.
Deck of Tarot Cards - In particular, I like getting Judgement cards because I can use them in Devil Rooms to buy Devil Room items for money instead of hearts. Temperance cards too, so I can raid them for as much money as I have health.
Pony - Flight + ability to turn invuln practically every room is another good build for doing no-damage runs.
D6 - reroll everything until I'm happy. Works out even better when I have a way to exit and revisit rooms so I can just farm ad infinitum.
Nail - Damage buff + spirit heart every room
Pinking Shears - a personal favorite of mine, but it usually kills things too quickly for me to farm another use of it every room
Teleport - Just for shits and giggles. I can telepor' Mario practically every room just to shake things up. I ran into a few error rooms as a result too.
Goddamn I love the Battery + 9-volt, I get them at every opportunity (which is fairly often because I like to abuse how powerful the D6 is).
I should do some more gimped runs, I want a new challenge. Anyone got any ideas? :v:
AFAIK, the max rooms an item needs is 6, not 7. And the 9-Volt puts two bars, no matter what, onto the charge, regardless of the item's charge count.

Effectively, it reduces the room requirement by 1 room, (excluding the items that have no recharge like Razor Blade and Kamikaze and the items that only need 1 room to recharge such as Tammy's Head). Either way, it lets me farm items until I am satisfied.
I think I'll do a no-visible-changes run. Where I am unallowed to pick up items that change Isaac's appearance in any way either permanently or temporarily. This includes pills and Dead Sea Scrolls, because they tint Isaac's skin color if I get a speed, tears, health, range, etc up instead of one of the ones that have no visible effect such as Balls of Steel, Explosive Diharea, Bad Trip, Full Health, and the like. I can't risk it because I am not permitted to pick up the PhD to find out what they do.
Hold on, I'll make a list of items I'd be allowed to use.
Anarchist's Cookbook, Book of Revelations, Book of Shadows, Book of Sin, Deck of Cards, D6 Doctor's Remote, Forget Me Now, Hourglass, Lemon Mishap, Mom's Pad, Monster Manuel, Mr. Boom, Necronomicon, The Poop, Tammy's Head, Teleport, We Need to go Deeper, Yum Heart, Bobby Bomb, Any familiar (Brother Bobby, 1-up, Relic, Bomb Bag, Distant Admiration, Cube of Meat, etc), Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert, Raw Liver, Rotten Meat, Compass, Treasure Map, Dollar, Ladder, Quarter, Tarot Cards (excluding Devil, Empress, Magician, Chariot, Strength, Hanged Man)

How does this work? Someone else posted about this but when I tried it (multiple times), paying the beggar in the devil room just gave me a regular item.

I did this 3 times and got bible, dinner and ladder.
I'm pretty sure you have to reroll the items to get a devil room item, just like how rerolling an item after one of the harbinger fights turns it into a cube of meat.

Did it without using the D6 ever, I ditched it at my first opportunity since there was no way to spawn as Isaac without the D6 without just restarting the game from scratch.

There are some rooms that require that I use bombs to get through them (they look like the room you fight Wrath in but with more rocks blocking your way). I cannot guarantee that I won't use bombs.
