Do challenges count as normal runs i.e. you still progress through the game and get unlocks, mom kills and deaths or are they just fun ways of playing the game. And does anybody know what the Ace of Spades item does? Wiki said it made you get 1 soul heart when you went down to 1/2 a heart but that lied and I died because of it.

And I have no idea what Ace of Spades does, sorry.

Every single run EVERY SINGLE RUN I have played since WoL was released I have got the Holy Grail.

I bet they raised the chances for testing purposes and just forgot to fix them. Would explain why you seemingly get them 99.68% of time.

It was noticed that there was an item there on every beta screenshot that Edmund posted, then he explained that's what he did. I'm somewhat tempted to set up my own Binding of Isaac wiki. The Binding of Isaac wiki on Wikia is, well, shit. And now this one user, presumably the one who set it up, is even advertising on it's main page. But more importantly, the Items page is just a huge table, mostly outdated. And on top of that, wikia has really annoying ads. If enough people would be interested (in contributing, too. I can't do it all alone obviously, and I don't want to copy the wikia one), I could set up a wiki on my own VPS.

Just completed Meatboy challenge, was piss easy with Epic Fetus. It's OP, i beat Mom's Heart in 1 minute or even less with it.

I hope that, instead of nerfing items that are OP, Edmund just works out a way to make them more rare. It's nice to have an occasional run where you annihilate everything in your path... But not when it's every other run.

Sure, it's got the same function as Lemon Mishap, I think it does more damage, and it can be used every room, plus it doesn't occupy the spacebar slot -- allowing you to combo it with some other active item. Black Bean gives the same treatment to the Bean, it just completely overshadows it in terms of usefulness. The power creep is unsettling. Buffing Lemon Mishap in the manner stated above would work to counteract the power creep. And the only reasonable buff I can think of to the Bean is to expand its range to that of Mr. Boom, and maybe increased damage to that of Mr. Mega. There's not too much that can be done with the item since it already recharges every room. [editline]31st May 2012[/editline] A lot of the flight items are also getting subjected to a powercreep. The Noose is practically worthless when there are flight items that grant increased speed, health up, or spectral tears. The Bible's only practical use is insta-killing Mom, Mom's Heart, and It Lives given the frequency of flight items. Ouija Board is getting overshadowed by the number of items that grant spectral tears passively. Common Cold and Charm of the Vampire are getting there, now that there are trinkets that do the exact same effect, but I'm pretty sure the effects stack instead of overlapping. Some of the new items are just too good and far more common with respect to old content. I'm not one that is too comfortable seeing such a blatant power creep.

They are almost killing items like ladder and revelations book.

But things that are blatantly more powerful really need to be more costly -- either in terms of hearts with a Devil's deal or just a lot more money than 15 cents. Them being more rare would help even things out too.
