Met and beat the new horseman before No 'white pony' drop. hhhhhhhn.
I love getting the cat and using the boss glitch to get a shitton of super meat boys.
green larry worst larry [editline]7th June 2012[/editline] That reminds me, new bosses need colored versions
No I refuse to fight colored Zombie Peep . Colored Hollow would be fine.
10 wins. 1 win on mom, 9 on heart. but doesn't the womb level not unlock until after your 1st win? I can't remember, been too long.
Well, beat the full game 9 times. You get the idea.
Why, hadn't this got patched at some point?
Edmund stated on his formspring that he wanted to keep that.
Does beating the final boss in purist challenge count towards polaroid pieces? Because I've killed him 5 times with different characters and once in the purist and I still don't have "You unlocked Polaroid" message :v
I beat satan and isaac with samson and got no secrets unlocked for it. :(
do you have golden god? [editline]7th June 2012[/editline] yep you do. In-game Achievement unlock messages are screwy for people that have golden god. You did get the reward though, just not the message. For the steam ones, restarting usually activates them.
If you don't care about your k/d and you had the golden god before the dlc you could download someone's so.sol file, I did that and secrets are working for me.
He's said he's working on a patch, so hopefully it'll be included with the final boss tweak update in 1-2 weeks. I'm just gonna wait for that. [editline]7th June 2012[/editline] are you fucking KIDDING ME was doing a challenge, was outside the boss doors on womb 2, the furthest i had to go for the challenge, when i found a ??? pill and decided 'fuck it'. Then, for the first time in my 126 hours of game time on this, i was sent to the error room, where the only way out was to go to sheol, where i was kindly given the curse of darkness to top it all off. died very fast. GR8
No I refuse to fight colored Zombie Peep . Colored Hollow would be fine.
Why is it that The Hollow, Blighted Ovum and The Husk are all easier then their alive counterparts? (Although since Ovum's AI is busted right now, it's hard to tell how difficult it should be.)
Hollow is only more "difficult" in cases where he can move diagonally but the rocks make it so that Isaac can only move in the cardinal directions. His movement pattern is predictable like Fistula, and only changing the angle he moves at infrequently. Blighted Ovum is more unforgiving than Gemini or Steven. He never stops chasing you and he leaves that damaging blood trail. The sperm shoots blood beams at you if you're lined up with it, but other than backing away from the large one and making sure you don't get trapped like in a game of Snake, it's a pretty easy fight. Husk is the Duke of Flies if he never made a fly shield. Sure he spits blood at you and vomits spiders, but that's it; he's very vulnerable for the entire duration of the fight, which makes him really easy to kill. And for some reason, Pin is more difficult than Scolex. A lot of the bosses don't seem properly balanced for where in the game that they appear or with respect to their "base" counterparts. But hey, new bosses, right?
I'm dissapointed in the actual boss selection. The only "new" boss is the Mask of Infamy, and he doesn't even have a health bar!
I'm dissapointed in the actual boss selection. The only "new" boss is the Mask of Infamy, and he doesn't even have a health bar!
Plus without a piercing item, his second form is a bitch to fight.
I'm dissapointed in the actual boss selection. The only "new" boss is the Mask of Infamy, and he doesn't even have a health bar!
Also Daddy long legs and Widow. But yeah, I agree completely. Mask of Infamy was the second boss he made (Daddy long legs being first). My guess is that he said "fuck it, this takes way too much time" so he remade old ones
i hate every form of mask of infamy, so so much.
It has way too much hp, but other than that I love it.

And I have yet to fight Daddy Long Legs except for a 5 second encounter in the cathedral I promptly blew up the door with Mega Fetus and didn't even glance at. And I'm fairly certain the Mask of Infamy is a direct edit of the common enemy, hence forgetting to add a health bar.

Blastocyst's final form appears as regular enemies in Basement and beyond and they get healthbars, there's no excuse for Mask of Infamy to not have a healthbar. He likely doesn't have a boss flag set, which is what determines whether a healthbar is rendered or not. Boss rooms themselves have nothing to do with the enemies inside, they operate just like normal rooms do (except with a door that cannot be bombed open) -- when the enemies are killed, the doors open, the only difference is the existence of the trapdoor and potential doorway leading to a Devil Room.
I accidentally picked up 9 lives... needless to say, my run ended there, and it was probably the only run where eve was decently good to use
Just got an awesome run with Cain
I can't take screenshots like that anymore. I almost always pick up more than 18 items along the way, so an endgame screenshot doesn't do my run justice. Pre-WotL, I would pick up maybe 15 items tops, but now I'm just stacking my character with all of the curse rooms, angel rooms, and libraries that I keep finding.
How do you get to the DLC stuff?
Something odd just happened. I had Little Steve with me and I just defeated Chad. When I picked up little Chad Steve turned into Brother Bobby. Is this a known bug or was it intentional?
How do you get to the DLC stuff?
If you have the DLC activated, it will be encountered randomly, just like every other item. If I'm not mistaken, you need to defeat Mom's Heart before it starts to appear -- that way, you aren't hitting the difficulty spike right when you start to learn the ropes.
jesus christ, why do I almost never get any good items for fucks sake I can't even get to the womb II without fucking dying its goddamn bullshit
Got both Infestation and The Mulligan, Rain of fucking flies. [editline]8th June 2012[/editline] Oh and Tech 2 [editline]8th June 2012[/editline] look at this shit.

17 hours of gameplay. 0 mom kills.
Finally picked up Guppy's Hairball. This is the sort of thing that Samson should have gotten: an item that actually gives him some lasting momentum. Bloody Lust only gives per-room momentum, which means that it's pretty much useless for all rooms that lack a mook-spawner (which is a lot of them). Guppy's Hairball, for those who don't know, gives per-floor momentum -- it gradually increases in damage and size the more kills it gets, but it resets when you travel to the next floor (or use Forget Me Now). This sort of item would create a niche for Samson as the momentum character -- he's tough to get rolling, but becomes more unstoppable as he continues to roll downhill (and then comes to an abrupt halt when the next floor starts). If he were to get a passive with per-floor momentum similar to Guppy's Hairball, there would be actual incentive to want to put up with his horrid base stats.
