Sometimes a Champion-Mode enemy is slower then normal, I.E. a Champion Chub's charge attack has the chance of not actually effecting movement speed.

Don't worry, it took me about... Oh, I'd say 35 hours before I could reliably get through the depths. It's a mixture of low skill level and bad luck that usually turns you off. Just keep trying, you will get it eventually.

I find it hilarious how Pin has an attack that Scolex doesn't have (the 4-way shots when he's in the air).
If Scolex got an improved version of that and maybe a health buff, I think he would be more around the difficulty he needs to be.

I want to watch people like you play. It should never take that long to get through the depths holy shit. Maybe like a hour or two tops
Edit: Seriously I'm thinking about this and I'm not even that good at the game. I ended up having to grind 70+ deaths to get the shears to unlock because if you're not learning how the game works by then something is wrong.
Anyone know of a way to toggle off the DLC content temporarily? I sort of want to beat the original game without the DLC. The DLC is way too hard for someone without much experience. I've never beaten the game and I've been at it for 35 hours now. It took my friend (Who often ragequits) about 4 hours, and my other friend 15.

It's not offensive to me, it's just really dumb that people try to make things as disgusting as possible for no reason. You get the same "tail" from picking up the ghost power up (or dead dove) and seeing how the rest of it is a zombie it's not hard to just say man that sure is a ghost.

Strangely enough it's also the first time I have even reached Mom.
I think Edmund should make Scolex incredibly faster. That would kinda spice it up because right now he's just too damn easy to hit to justify so little health.
I don't really get why you're so upset that I suck at this game, Sift. Does everyone have to be at your level to be considered people? So I start the game with crap items and I'm not very good at dodging and aiming, that doesn't mean I should be able to reach Sheol within 20 minutes of the game. And one more thing. I don't play BoI to impress other people with my skills, I play it to have fun because I think it's a fun game. I don't, nor does anybody, need your approval.

As if it actually matters how quick someone is able to get to grips with the game. I'm pretty sure I got the shears before my 3rd mom kill without even having to farm it after taking a mild break from it and having to get used to it all over again. It depends entirely on how good you are to begin with more than anything, if you've played a bunch of bullet hell shooters you're obviously going to start with an advantage, similarly if you have terrible reflexes you're going to find it difficult starting off until you get used to it. There's no maximum number of hours you can sink in before you have to be good. Also it took me about 60 deaths to get the 1st kill, stay mad.

That reminds me of Pre-WOTL where you had to beat the game 10 times to go to Sheol, but on Womb 2, I got the I AM ERROR room and it dropped me there on Mom kill 3.

If you managed to bring the shovel into womb 2 pre-wotl, and dig into sheol, sheol would unlock and the devil room would occasionally spawn after a mom's heart kill
