Verb
Steal goods from (a place), typically during a war or riot: "rioters were looting shops".
Let me correct myself.
So you think you should be able to pick up a random weapon in all of Columbia and it have the very specific upgrade you gave it?
You mean, like it is right now?

Oh you edited
Loot means pickup or steal, I meant guns looted from dead enemies or storage.
Oh I understand you I think, you're saying the visual upgrade system only works in Bioshock because you have all of your weapons on you all of the time so it's not like you're picking up a random pistol with a massive clip all the time. In Bioshock infinite your picking up random guns all the time and for them all to have the same visual upgrade as the one you were using wouldn't make sense... Right?
I have no idea why you guys are confused.
Let's say you upgrade weapon A with upgrades B & C.
Now for the rest of the game every weapon that's an A will have B & C instead of just being normal, that would be incredibly silly.

If we take meta-gameplay that serious, ok.
But then tell me why the upgrades you buy with money(lol) are universal?
This is VISUAL UPGRADE

After you purchase an upgrade you'll see a yellow outlines of part that will SOON become a part of your gun.
I can say that Bioshock 3 kinda disappointed me.
Why? They took out too many good features like:
- Hacking (now It's pick locks and Elizabeth.)
- Flying Turrets (I've notice maybe two times in the whole game)
- Upgrading guns (there is no visual effect of what you upgrade - look Bioshock 1)
- Lack of upgrading skills by other currency (Bioshock 1 and 2 had adam)
- Hacking was a boring chore. I was so damn happy when I got the auto-hack ability on turrets in BioShock 1 because it's so obnoxious to do over and over again.
- I saw a lot more Mosquitos than you did, apparently.
- I get the whole "I liked the visual effect of upgrades" thing, but it doesn't FIT in BioShock Infinite. In BioShock 1 you got 8 weapons and those were the weapons you had. In BioShock Infinite, you might be constantly switching out weapons, so having visual upgrades doesn't make any sense. Having upgrades at all doesn't make a lot of sense, but visual upgrades would be worse.
- What's with people and other currency? Why is other currency so good? The Adam thing didn't make much sense anyway. Put this mysterious liquid(?) into a machine and suddenly powerups! But why not just money? It would make more sense in an economic fashion.

I imagine in the time before rapture went to shit you would buy ADAM from a vendor and then use the machine to make use of it.

Well you wouldn't have had that happy feeling without the boring hacking by hand. As a reward you felt kinda proud when you finally found upgraded to autohack. Didn't autohack feel rewarding afterwards?
The fights where you [sp]can get endless bots and mosquitos from the tears[/sp] in BSI felt not rewarding at all.
It's kind of a design philosphy. You can't make everything streamlined and easy and good to use, there's gotta be obstacles to overcome.

I had that happy feeling because of the research camera, not because I had to hack.
There's a difference between hard to use and obnoxious to use. Hacking was not hard to use.
That doesn't make his post dumb
I didn't say it did, but acting like anyone who disagrees with it is just aprt of the Biolove bandwagon is equally as stupid.
That doesn't make his post dumb
It's dumb to call something objectively better
Theres a shitload of opt-in betas in the steam properties page. Why would a Portcullis be so significant?Weird
speaking of weapon visuals, golden pistol and machinegun are pretty sexy. too bad other weapons didnt get golden versions
It's dumb to call something objectively better
uh all he did was post reasons as to why he didn't like the game as much as Bioshock 1 and 2
Are the glowing eyes on some soldiers (both Founders and Vox Populi) a visual bug or did I miss a voxophone about it?

Just a mask to make them look scurry.

it is assumed that the helmets are electronic and dying doesn't magically turn them off
I mean, I saw them on like, police officers and unmasked Vox Populi.
Welcome to 2013. Where your opinion means shit and you have to get use to other opinion.
Same goes to EA and other companies that wants to scam.
I liked this game.
You didn't.
You shut up.

No one has told you to shut up here. Everyone who has replied has to you has given their own opinion to your views. Do you seriously not expect people to respond to critisims they disagree with? And frankly you regarding their opinions as just them saying "shut up" is an equally as rude notion.

I think it was the bombardment of "dumbs" he received, none of which are justified really.
Have you played Bioshock 1? Bioshock Infinite is clearly superior, as good as Bioshock 1 was
.... Yeah. "Clearly Superior" is such a subjective thing to say. Based on what?
Based on complexity of gameplay, atmosphere, world, characters, and storyline, I give it to the first one. That makes it a better game in my eyes.
On replayability, fun, the first is better.
I've played the first about 5 times. I think it's better than Infinite, sorry.

It usually takes a few weeks before people are really able to discuss the pros and cons of a game. I again cite Skyrim; everyone was circle-jerking over it for a month or two, then real discussion about what was good and what didn't work happened later. That's why I usually trust the commentary of people who actually have positive and negative things to say more than those who only have praise, especially early in.
[sp] Slate, or rather the one we encounter in the game, exists in a universe where Booker is reborn as Comstock and builds Columbia. Comstock is the version of Booker that fought with him at Wounded Knee yet, Slate is convinced that Comstock's making up his past military service. So is it that Blake believes Comstock is a completely different person, or did I miss something there?[/sp]
Sorry if this was discussed in a previous thread.

This. The hype is still very much alive. Happens with most triple aaa games. Like with Skyrim, Portal or GTAIV, for a few months you're not allowed to discuss why it isn't the greatest game ever made.
And then after all the casuals are gone you can talk about flaws, because nothing is perfect (although deus ex 1 and system shock 2 are the closest we've gotten)
I like how the closer you are to your victim, the more loud and intense the fiddle/piano riff is when you kill him. At max range its a really low "dunnnng" but with a melee execution its like a fiddle scratch

You just finished saying that the first game is "objectively" better, and now you're telling someone that opinions are subjective?
