I'm still liking the whole "space setting" thing everyone's wishing
I'm still liking the whole "space setting" thing everyone's wishing
bioshock in space already exists, it's called system shock 2
I'm still liking the whole "space setting" thing everyone's wishing
I would prefer something underground, personally.
I can't be alone in the sentiment that another bioshock game wouldn't be good for the series as a whole.
Problem was that by the time I got it in the game it would've just landed me into a bunch of freaking mechs. Not good. That ability would've been best for the very start of the game, not the very end. [editline]4th April 2013[/editline] Speaking of which, my salts pool at the end of the game was so large I literally could spam my Vigors more than I could shoot my guns for fear of running out of bullets :v:
if you got salts to blood and the 2x damage on melee hit for 5 seconds gears its amazing. I also had the fire damage and health on melee kill gears. I would get health every kill, with a chance of recovering my salts. I could 1 shot turrets with a charge easily.
I can't be alone in the sentiment that another bioshock game wouldn't be good for the series as a whole.
Aye, you're right... but it's a sad kind of correctness.
Posting this again because it's probably the best (covered) song in the game.
I can't be alone in the sentiment that another bioshock game wouldn't be good for the series as a whole.
I'm pretty sure Ken Levine said that they were done with Bioshock.
I'm pretty sure Ken Levine said that they were done with Bioshock.
I WON'T ACCEPT THAT DAMMIT
It would be very unwise for them to make another game. They should just take what they've learned in this series and make a new IP OR make another "Bioshock" game, but have it completely disconnected from the established universe and the only similarities being the gameplay aspects of shooting and powers and the like. [editline]4th April 2013[/editline] kinda like System Shock to Bioshock.
I'm pretty sure Ken Levine said that they were done with Bioshock.
I can't find a source on that, but I'd be okay with it. They should start a new IP before BioShock gets stale.
I trust that given Ken's writing ability they could create a completely new world seperated from that of the bioshock series and still keep it very interesting and involved.

Edit: Like seriously, what the hell? I have had this version of the song stuck in my head SINCE I finished the game. I can't get it out. HELP.
I'm currently hooked on And of course
[sp]Is Lady Comstock supposed to be the alternate version of Booker's wife in the "Comstock" timeline? Just starting to think that since in one of the posters in Columbia it writes her name as "A. Comstock" (Anna/Annabelle). Baby 'Anna' could have been named in honor of Booker's dead wife. It could also work since, in the "Comstock" timeline, baby 'Anna' would have a different name (Elizabeth) since his wife was alive (for a while, at least) in that timeline.[/sp]

The Goodnight, Irene song made every citizen feel like a big happy family, a big happy group of happy people in a gleeful city, [sp]but then everything went from sweet to absolutely fucking fucked up in under a minute.[/sp] [sp]I loved that, even though I should've seen it from a mile away I still just went "what," when the curtains were drawn back.[/sp]
Not Bioshock: Infinite but just look at this shit [t]http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/596999980238339319/2C2E1B173704929C0E7AE515706C703CD53CB799/[/t]
A bit unrelated to Infinite, a bit more for Bioshock 2. How the fuck does Delta eat, does he just slam food into the face of his helmet and still get the nutrition from it?
A bit unrelated to Infinite, a bit more for Bioshock 2. How the fuck does Delta eat, does he just slam food into the face of his helmet and still get the nutrition from it?
I like to imagine he just absorbs it by crushing it in his hand like Raiden.

[sp]At first everything looks peaceful, you see families enjoying their time. And then suddenly it's "Oh, you don't want to stone this ni**er and her lover? Do you take your coffee black now?". You watch jobless people standing in front of a factory, hoping to get employed in a company that apparently cares for its workers. Then you see that inside this company workers beat each other to death out of pure desperation, and they mostly get paid in a company-own currency. And while a revolution seems to be a logical choice you soon realise that both sides are simply looking out for their own welfare instead of a common one.[/sp]
I can't be alone in the sentiment that another bioshock game wouldn't be good for the series as a whole.
If they make another, it best be in development for a hell of a long time to live up to the expectations we have now.
Jesus fuck, hacking in bioshock 1 is like using scissors to cut your sack off. There's just so many things to hack.
I really must want something different out of the shock series games, as they have gotten progressively worse for me over time. Well, mostly worse, System shock 2 was great, an improvement over the original. The first bioshock was decent. I lamented the loss of a lot of gameplay features, but hey, neat setting, so whatever. But they keep cutting gameplay elements. The worst one remains the removal of the inventory. Fuck you. I'll carry as many guns as I have space for. Or I'll carry one gun and fuckloads of ammo. Or maybe I won't carry any guns, but just a lot of mental stims. Now we have lost the ability to hack things and the game doesn't even bother to pretend like you won't wind up with all the vigor powers. The choice is now almost entirely gone, whether it be story or tactical. Just shoot everyone in the head and then swap to whatever weapon they spoon feed you next. Oh hey look pants that make better after doing something involving a skyline. I will never use those pants. Ever. This is in addition to a bunch of other gear pieces that are borderline worthless. Stealth is almost entirely gone. Both the original bioshock and System Shock 2 had a sort of stealth where you tried to avoid detection until you could control the terms, but infinite pretty much laughs at any attempt along those lines. Every fight is against a horde. None of the weapon upgrades are remotely interesting. The system could have gone two ways based generally on what they have: A) You could have a couple of interesting upgrades for each gun, such as a burst fire for the pistol or a double magazine for the carbine. B) You have a max number of upgrades for a weapon, but get to choose what stats to boost. Choosing the same stat boost twice results in a penalty of some kind. So choose damage twice and you get a recoil penalty from the magnum ammo or choose magazine capacity twice and get a penalty to reload speed. Instead we get completely uninspired upgrades. An excellent setting and a neat story, but I really feel like they just keep cutting down on the actual game part. It is rather depressing. Taken completely on its one, Infinite wouldn't be bad by any stretch of the imagination, but when compared to its predecessors I was rather disappointed.
Well I think they took out "big" upgrades due to having so many guns this time around. Most of the guns were different versions of another.
They should do something similar to H.P Lovecraft's mountains of madness, an expedition to the Antarctic set in the 1920s. I could see that working.
There is only so much you can talk about when it comes to a singleplayer game.
Gonna say it right now, I love games like Deus ex and System shock, but I fucking hate the old system of making your guns only work on a RNG based on your skill level
Actually, a city on Antarctica could sorta work.
