Anyone else feel the last level was a bit tame? I expected a lot more, especially considering [sp]we didn't get an epic boss battle with Songbird.[/sp]
[sp]Also there were way too many +100 Salts and Medkits in that area. I just stayed in one corner spamming Crows and sniping down the Patriots that came every now and then.[/sp]
I wonder if the DLCs will be neat, would be cool if we could learn more about the Songbird or play as a Vox member.
[sp]If you replay the game, use Devil's Kiss or Shock Jockey to burn the reanimated dead to a crisp. She can't revive them then.[/sp]
I used the Shock Jockey traps to decap them. I was sure that they disintegrated, but still more came up. Past that now, and on my way to Comstock's house.
Honestly, if there's any one complaint I have about Infinite that I am damn sure I can stand by, it's that they really needed an option to just buy vigors, or even make it so that buying vigors is the only way to get them. It certainly would have added a lot more replay value that way, and it just feels needlessly restrictive to make it absolutely mandatory that the player gets each vigor at a specific time.
Vigors also need a bit more of a clear purpose, as well. As it stands you can pretty much just roll with whatever one looks the most aesthetically pleasing to you and just roll with it, there's not much thought to be put into which vigor you should use for which situation, with a few exceptions. It's not a massive problem, vigors can still be fun to use and they're far from useless, I just think they could use a lot more fleshing out.

I'm pretty sure the only two Vigors you may miss/have to buy later on are Charge and Undertow.

My first play through I never found charge and ended up buying it...

Fair enough, now that I think about it, there are a couple you can miss. But still, you can't buy them beforehand, and that just kind of irks me.

I do think it would be nice to be able to pick what vigors I want earlier too. It would really save me time (Especially in 1999 mode) for getting to the things I want to use for that play through and upgrade them.
Has anyone been able to buy Bucking Bronco at the fair or is that not actually possible?

After being massacred several times by a Handyman on Emporia, I found this gear.

Then I died and never got a chance to use it, since the FUCKING checkpoint sends me back to the end of the fight against the Handyman, ARGH

Am I reading that right?
The gun is your ally?

It's an alright gear. I had it equipped for some time but never really used vigor traps so it didn't help me very much.
A vigor that just animated all the guns on the ground would be awesome.

Like the Siren, minus the [sp]screaming to raise the dead[/sp] ghost part?
Is there some big hate for bioshock 2 I don't know about? I had fun with it :c
Is there some big hate for bioshock 2 I don't know about? I had fun with it :c
People who really loved the first game felt very let down by the 2nd thus creating this huge hate around it.

This guy is right.
Still a brilliant game. Remains my favourite game despite his points. I didn't really enjoy BioShock as much.
SPOILERS AND SHIT IN THAT VIDEO, YO
Damn, I just watched that and he pretty much sums up all the problems I had with the game.
i maintain that bioshock 2 has better gunplay and is technically the better game but the story is very much weaker than bioshock 1
and in these games, story is everything
bioshock infinite isnt as good a shooter and the characters are weaker but columbia is the better setting and better story
i think somewhere along the line, Levine basically said... "what does having multiple ammo types and puzzle games add to the story?"
if it adds nothing for most people, why include it?

So they removed that vigor to turn it into a piece of gear?

My ideal Bioshock game would probably be Bioshock 2's gameplay but Bioshock 1's story/setting. The earlier gameplay videos of Infinite looked pretty cool too.

It looked like something out of Nightmare Before Christmas.

I still don't understand why such a religious city is okay with cartoon devils advertising a vigor, or why any of the vigors are accepted anyway. I mean the Veni Vici Vigor machine sells an upgrade that makes people shoot themselves in the head. What is up with that?

It's a floating city in the sky powered by science, I don't think religion is as high up on the agenda as they would have you believe.
