I don't get what this whole casualization deal everyone is going on about suddenly is (especially with the whole choices thing), the removal of choice in this game does not make the story any more accessible. I also think the fact that the game has less RPG elements than it's predecessors makes it cheaper considering it was not trying to be the same genre of game as the past two.
This is the second time you say "the game doesn't have xxx because it's not trying to have xxx"
We can't know and judge what the game is "trying".
We can only judge what it does and that is far less developed gameplay wise.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the story. I'm talking about pure gameplay; none of the Bioshock games had amazing gameplay, but Infinite feels like a step down in terms of options in fights. You can't really sneak, you can't hack, you can't really use the environment as much, the guns are basic, and the whole tears system amounted to summoning turrets to win fights.
Alright fair enough, the only thing I disagree with you on though is stealth. I mean it is an action shooter. They could've done a much better job of replacing stealth play with improving skyline use and the general verticality of combat as a whole.

Again. By saying "it's an action shooter" you are basically saying "it doesn't have stealth because it doesn't have stealth"
can someone explain the significinance of the post credits scene?
Also, Troy Baker seems like a fucking bro
Troy is really cute

The first 2 games could be an action shooter, especially near the end when you're fighting a lot of splicers at once. The difference is that the option was usually there if you wanted it, you just had to have the right tonics/plasmids. I agree that the skyline really should've been expanded on more. I think it should've been a much bigger part of the game, since outside of a few fights I barely used the thing (mostly dodging Handymen). I also think they cut down on the environment interaction a lot when they got rid of telekinesis for some reason. I missed searching for items in weird little caches scattered throughout the levels which you usually had to grab with telekinesis, or melt ice to reach it, etc.

Alright true enough, I'd argue though that the original two bioshocks were more RPG/survival horror than action shooter though. I'm not saying that infinite couldn't benefit from more RPG elements and I definitely think it was intended to have more RPG elements but in the end they settled for more of an all action based game. Which of course would limit the play style possibilities.
It's funny, Troy also does the VO for James Sunderland in the HD Silent Hill.... the themes are fitting both ways.
And the VA for Angela also did Lady Comstock.

He looks like Booker DeWitt with frosted tips.
I just realized. Bioshock Infinite is the first game you play where YOU are the escort character being annoying.
You need health, you constantly need ammo, need to be revived and need to be dragged around by your far more competent partner.

I can deal with those limitations, or things cut off, but why remove manual saves? Several games on UE3 have those, hell even Bioshock 1/2 had those, no excuse to removing them.

Just go to their Wikipedia pages, you'll be surprised how many games they voiced.

I think Ken even said he'd have manual saves when he brought up 1999 mode, it's like a kick in the teeth.

Yeah, it feels like development got rushed or something, so they ended up having to toss a lot of the deeper game mechanics. It's a shame, it seems to be happening all too often these days.
Last playthrough I used Murder of Crows about 80% of the time and it was very useful; especially with the upgrades. It reminded me a lot of the upgraded Insect Swarm from Bioshock 2. However, on this new playthrough I am discovering just how badass Shock Jockey is. I think I was hesitant to use it before because I figured it was just another Electro Bolt; and it is to a degree, but holy fuck that chain lightning! I also love how bodies disintegrate into ash....makes me feel like I'm Raiden from Mortal Kombat(especially when their heads explode like his Fatality).

Development got rushed? The game's been pushed forward like, a year already, i think they'd have pushed it a bit more if they hadn't finished it yet.

Really? Weird, it must've gone into general polish rather than gameplay, since the presentation of everything is definitely well done.

I love it when she throws a rocket launcher or something at you from ludicrously far away
Man, this is the first game in a while that's gotten my creative side motivated enough to start making some stuff. Currently working on building an anamorphic illusion out of wood involving the bird and the cage; here's hoping I can get it right.

I'm pretty sure at one point in time Elizabeth threw me a Carbine while I was on a moving airship.
Girl must have one helluva throwing arm.

Hotline Miami was the one that broke that for me, Hotline Miami of all things made me take up filmmaking.

Inspiration strikes in odd places sometimes. Just gotta run with it.

I think for me it was just that bright vibrant 80's feel, I wanted to do a fan film of it, to capture that feel.
But as I was plotting it out I realized doing a fan film is silly. I want to be a storyteller, I want to be a writer.
And film is a good medium for it. Ultimately I'd like to write a game one day since I think it's one of the most unique mediums, but let's wait and see, huh?
Does Infinite start up with 20 different unskippable logo screens every time it starts up like the original BioShock?
HERE'S EVERY REGIONAL BRANCH OF 2K

They're unskippable the first time you start it, but after that you can use the keyboard to go through.
