so why did[sp] elizabeth put booker's hand on her throat?[/sp]
i'm not confused about the scene i just forgot all the dialogue in that part of the game
[sp]Pretty sure she was saying that if it comes down to it, she would rather Booker kill her than have Songbird take her back.[/sp]
Also, pictured below is the hell that comes with trying to get an anamorphic illusion working (basically an image designed to be looked at at an angle).

Edit:
Oh goddamnit.
Hah yeah. I wonder what kind of DLC they're going to push out. I mean Bioshock 2 and its DLC's weren't made by Irrational Games at all right?
A sand box mode would be kinda cool.

I was kinda thinking about that too. Part of me thinks that maybe some stuff that fleshes out [sp]the backstory on Songbird and the Bigors past their single respective voxophone entries.[/sp] Multiplayer might be interesting, although I'm thinking something more regarding a cooperative endurance or horde mode would work as opposed to traditional PvP stuff. Mostly because from what I heard Bioshock 2's multi wasn't all that great, and the variety of enemy types and set pieces that Infinite had might lend itself better towards player vs. computer stuff.
Although admittedly DLC multiplayer seems a bit far fetched and pretty unlikely (also didn't they say that most of the dlc stuff was going to be story centric but focusing on things not specifically related to the main story line?)

Bioshock 2's multiplayer was fucking stupid. Electro bolt + the elephant gun (or crossbow) meant instant death to anyone you came across. ZAP. HEADSHOT. DEAD.

The only thing I really thought was neat about Bioshock 2 multiplayer was the whole apartment thing.

[sp]I wish we got to see more of booker becoming Comstock. I Don't really see how he become the prophet to begin with. Also how nobody noticed the AD that the prophet has.[/sp]
[sp]Fuck thats what the dlc is gonna be. Those crafty bitches [/sp]

[sp]Prophet doesn't have AD on his hand, Booker only got it after he sold Anna out (So after refusing Baptism)[/sp]

[sp]In one timeline Booker gets baptized after the battle of Wounded Knee and becomes 'reborn' as Comstock. In the other he rejects it and becomes the Booker we know; selling his daughter and then branding himself with AD to remind himself of what he'd done.[/sp]

[sp]After getting baptized he became reborn and probably dedicated his life to God. He later found Rosalind Lutece which is how he became the Prophet and created Columbia.
He doesn't have the AD because only the Booker that denied the baptism and later sold Anna has it.[/sp]
[sp]I like to think the "Guardian Angel" he talked to was some sinister force part of a larger plot.[/sp]

Didn't they drop co-op from the game because they wanted to focus on the single-player? They might bring in a two-player co-op campaign that goes in tandem with the plot [sp]or an alternate universe to the main story as a what-if.[/sp] Who knows, though - they could also just do stupid things like challenge mode stuff or extra equipment.
[sp]I like to think the "Guardian Angel" he talked to was some sinister force part of a larger plot.[/sp]
[sp]I'm pretty sure it was either Lutece or Lutece's machine. Comstock was obviously exaggerating how he saw the future and became the Prophet.[/sp]

[sp]I'm thinking it was probably an alternate timeline Elizabeth.[/sp]
So I just saw a comment on reddit saying that Elizabeth kicks enemies who come too close to her in their nuts
Is this true? I never saw that happen
[sp]I'm pretty sure it was either Lutece or Lutece's machine. Comstock was obviously exaggerating how he saw the future and became the Prophet.[/sp]
[sp]The guardian angel gave him the idea for columbia though, and that was before he met Lutece adn before she made her machine[/sp]
[sp]The guardian angel gave him the idea for columbia though, and that was before he met Lutece adn before she made her machine[/sp]
[sp]He is probably lying about that too[/sp]
[sp]The guardian angel gave him the idea for columbia though, and that was before he met Lutece adn before she made her machine[/sp]
[sp]Columbia was made because of Lutece. She invented the technology that allowed the city to float.[/sp]
Edit:
[sp]Also, the machine could have existed before the city was made. Everything before Columbia was built is pretty unknown.[/sp]
[sp]I like to think the "Guardian Angel" he talked to was some sinister force part of a larger plot.[/sp]
i know it's really far fetched, but i was thinking the same thing
maybe it's a sequel hook? (probably not)
[editline]4th April 2013[/editline]
also, i think a vox vs. founders multiplayer DLC would be pretty cool, as long as they make the gameplay less shitty than bioshock 2's multiplayer
Yeah, it's pretty much a given that [sp]The "Guardian Angel" was Letuce's machine, I'm pretty sure it's confirmed in one of the voxophones. Anything prior to Letuce's machine was propaganda.[/sp]
[sp]It just seems like the two Bookers are so ridiculously different that there must me more too it than just taking different paths through life[/sp]
[sp]It just seems like the two Bookers are so ridiculously different that there must me more too it than just taking different paths through life[/sp]
I think that was another subtle message they were trying to tell. [sp]Religion can drastically change people for the better or worse. This was told a bit in one of Lady Comstock's voxophones where she realizes that Comstock preaches for the word of God but in reality is a pretty bad person who is not worthy of salvation.[/sp]
[sp]It just seems like the two Bookers are so ridiculously different that there must me more too it than just taking different paths through life[/sp]
[sp]Well the baptism was a sort of rebirth I guess, so Comstock really isn't even close to booker after that.[/sp]
I've gotta say, while I personally really appreciate the focus that the gameplay has in Infinite, and while I know that Infinite itself really only works as an action-oriented shooter, I really want to see Irrational do another Shock game that is a true successor to System Shock 2 now. Sure, they can say that the first Bioshock was a successor all they want, but it really wasn't. Hell, if anything, Bioshock trying to be like System Shock just made the design feel more muddled and unfocused, and I honestly like that Infinite pretty much dropped any pretense of being a successor to SS2 and just did its own thing.
But now that the Bioshock series is pretty much done with (Unless 2K pulls another contrived sequel out to milk the popularity of the franchise, which would be an even worse idea than Bioshock 2 was), I'd really like to see a true return to form. a slow-paced horror game with loads of well-thought-out RPG elements, a claustrophobic atmosphere and a great story to boot. It would probably do the whole industry a favour to have another truly great horror game like SS2, and if anyone could pull it off, it's Irrational.
Shit, a small team even managed to get the rights to put SS2 onto GOG (Which I am still baffled by), maybe 2K could manage to get the rights to the System Shock games back so they can make SS3. But now I'm just getting a bit ahead of myself.
I'd rather not have a sequel, that kind of thing tends to limit the imagination of the developers.
I want new stuff; stuff which I've never experienced before, not just the same shooting which I've done one thousand times before in the past 5 years.
