Oh man. Can imagine being with a couple of others inside a log cabin, with heavy snowstorm outside, maybe some lightning, huddling near a fireplace waiting for spring.

Basically, not rendering stuff that you can't see. So theoretically a performance boost.

Things they aren't seen on screen will no longer be rendered. Like underground caves, for example. For people like me, who have shit computers, it's a godsend.

I think Mojang had an idea to make stone creepers, fire spiders and stuff like that, I think this would be a good way to get one of the custom enemy.

That would be quite good if sword had been weak on them but pickaxe would be as powerful as sword on normal enemy mobs.

People DO NOT realize how GREAT this is.
It will increase performance heavily and make it to where even [b]laptops[/b] can run the game on Normal fog setting.
Waiting for it to come out and lag/break in multiplayer or something.
Better idea for flooding:
Shit below water level that can be exposed to sunlight during day get flooded.
Shit that does not reach sunlight during day or is above natural water level does not get flooded.
Would make for interesting flooding in caves, IE if looking for exit; simply look for the water that isn't coming from the walls.

With occlusion culling, I can forgive Notch for the midweek (Roguedjack style feature creep) delay.
Hopefully Notch's Occlusion Culling actually does something because ever since the guy who made Optifog added it to it, it doesn't help me at all. Like, it makes no difference in performance anymore. I don't know why.

Spiders that spit venom
Mother spiders (That are like, giant or something)
and fast spiders
I dunno why I want this, because I hate spiders beyond believe

Interesting, but perhaps they should move significantly slower than normal spiders to better balance this ability, and shouldn't have too far/fast traveling projectiles.

If you're going to force us to use significantly more ladders for everything, then at least make them less expensive and annoying to craft :argh:
It's annoying as hell to have to place 7 sticks in different places only to receive 1 of something you need A LOT of.

The claustrophobia will kick in.
I meant like, the venom spiders, stop, spit acid at you and that acid arches over at you and makes a 3-5 block venom area on the ground for 10 seconds or so

It's probably more for gameplay reasons than realism. He probably wants for ladders to be more expensive.

Alternatively, dirt in a desert biome should be dry and fall like sand and gravel

Thinking about these changes, they could be VERY good for general gameplay. It would make the biomes a lot more unique, which is something Minecraft has been missing for a while.
