I think that instead of two ladders, maybe it should make four? It would help a lot. I'm glad that the water currents are being fixed, I hate being stuck in a fearsome trickle of water.

I too wish ladders would give you a lot more for that painfully annoying recipe, but alas I don't think Notch will be so easily persuaded :v:

I would like to see larger doors for my big palaces and such.

I have a feeling he is just postponing the update simply because he can. Notch and his crew are sitting at home enjoying the rain and snow and stuff.

Can't fucking wait for a mod that lets you shoot lightning or at least choose where it strikes also there should be a huge benefit to taking shelter during a storm, or a downside to being in it. Reduced speed, steady damage, etc.

Woohoo! Just made an elevator with Piston mod. It catches you, too. Don't have to move an inch till you get up there. Safe.

I haven't bothered to try to get any minecart mods working due to updates, so I'm rather excited to actually use minecarts.

Since the release was delayed until this week, do you think the piston mod will make it in 1.5? I remember they said they didn't add it so because they needed more time or something.

This is also the explanation for no more Secret Friday Updates, because he wants his Saturdays to be relaxed and not spent bug-fixing.

Obviously there should be an option for weather. I am excited for everything this update will bring!

On the subject of new mobs, has anyone here played spelunky? I feel that some of its mobs and features would fit nicely into minecraft (especially the giant spider and the golden idol)

Right clicking divides a stack in two, so I just treat it like a big math problem, placing full stacks and just dividing them over and over again until I get the right amount. It's not hard to make large amounts of ladders really quickly.

I think it'd be awesome if it flooded a bit and the water flowed. You would literally have to weather out the storm. That'd be fun online when playing with a friend.

Ive been so excited for this all week. I really hope the rain and powered track is done well.

I wonder if it will be dynamic, and I would really like that you hear the rain less when you are in a house.

I hope rain and snow has a chance of occurring without clouds and thunder.

I still think a real good swamp biome needs to be implemented, that has a rising water level dependent on the time of day and/or the weather. I'd like to make a Bayou cabin with swamp creepers lurking about.
