Yes. Fuck yes.
Cloud height doesn't depend on those things, but they can be changed with mods. Graphics settings only affects wether their 3d or 2d.
Really? I could have sworn that the different Painterly pack clouds had different cloud heights.
I think people should get options such as: Weather: On/Off Certain Weather Only: Clouds/Rain/Snow/Normal/No Certain Season Only (if they decided to use my idea): Winter/Spring/Summer/Fall/No Flooding: On/Off Lightning Damage: Blocks/Players & Mods/Both/Off Snow Piling: On/Off Weather option: Turns weather on and off (kind of obvious) Certain Weather Only: Same type of weather constantly Certain Season Only: Same season constantly Flooding: Allows Flooding during rain Lightning Damage: Select what lightning damages or if it damages anything at all Snow Piling: Enables or disables snow piling in all environments except for desert

But people should just accept the game for what it is. Since when did developers bend over backward like this?
What I'm worried about is the possibility of rain messing up my performance even more.
This is gonna be so good!
Options would be nice. But people should just accept the game for what it is. Since when did developers bend over backward like this?
Fuck flooding. That's why.
I wouldnt mind flooding anyways But I don't make any intricate wiring above ground anyways :v:
Fuck flooding. That's why.
Why? because it will ruin your perfect garden? This is survival. A creeper blows up your wall, you fix it. Water floods your front yard all the time? figure out a way to drain it out. And Notch said he will eventually add hunger to the game. Will you complain about that too? A lot of us play survival for a challenge. If all you want to do is build and be creative then there's a little mode called "creative" you can use. As for me, I welcome flooding and any other feature Notch adds to the game that makes it more challenging.
Flooding would be so excellent.
Flooding wouldn't effect me as i usally build my houses up on high mountains.
I've been playing SP exclusively on my floating island map so fuck flooding bring it on notch
I've been playing SP exclusively on my floating island map so fuck flooding bring it on notch
Pics! Was it natural or did you make it? took forever to make mine
I just wish Notch would increase the size of biomes and add above seal-level lakes. How amazing would it look if you had a massive lake on top of a mountain? Additionally, rivers would be cool.
Is it this week that the update is coming out? Or the next?
this week, probably friday mojang should really start setting goals, periodic updates with features instead of adding whatever, whenever
Y'know, if they're doing Weather, I hope they do the repeatedly-suggested revamp of Clouds, so that they don't pass through high structures and instead pass around them. Maybe using Cloud blocks would work, and you could "mine" them using a glass jar? And during thunderstorms, the Clouds could turn dark and only be harvested using a "Leyden Jar", made of a Gold ingot, a Redstone Torch, and a Glass Jar, since the clouds would be charged with the energy and stuff.
I'd love a more powerful Mob. One that, when I hear it's sound or see something it leaves in it's wake, sends me running. Or at least very difficult to kill, like a Librarian from Metro 2033.
Oh god the nightmares. Those beasts took 30 shotgun shells never again
Well, you aren't supposed to kill them. You're supposed to escape from them, hide from them, keep looking at them so they don't murderise you.

A creeper explodes near you, which makes you partly responsible. A flood you can't prevent. With that said, it would be annoying to have to unflood your shit again and again. Not challenging, just plain annoying. A challenge is a test of skill, removing water from a room is just piss.
Sorry if I'm late but what the fuck is that flooding? Something announced or just a suggestion?
Detector rail is now at (3, 12) in the texture
For people who don't know, jeb made something new. Detector rail..
Well, you aren't supposed to kill them. You're supposed to escape from them, hide from them, keep looking at them so they don't murderise you.
If you pull your knife out, and stand a certain distance away and stare at them they start to back off
Should be pretty good, could still do with a default increase in biome size though. Hopefully these are the sort of updates they plan to put out more regularly, with content geared towards their end vision rather than fan pandering. First person DF here we come!
For people who don't know, jeb made something new. Detector rail..
might be a rail that gives redstone power when a cart runs over it. Would be excelent to be honest

Like building a wall to protect it, an overhang dependig on how it works. Heck, maybe even changing local to a vinter biome, in which it snows instead. Something that can´t flood you.

When this happens I will play nonstop now because my building will have a cause!
A lot of us play survival for a challenge.
and a lot of us don't hence why it should be optional not to mention CPU strain and the 99% chance that it's going to be buggy and poorly implemented
Notch should make killing a zombie pigman in overworld an achievemnt [editline]12th April 2011[/editline] Sent it to his twitter
