The QBB has the least damage out of all the LMGs, and only beats the Type-25 and M27 in terms of assault rifles though, so all it really is a Type-25 that has slightly more range, but has a slower ADS and reload time, so it doesn't really (to me) shine as being a particularly great weapon.
As for the SMGs, you might be right, as the top three weapons that have killed me are: the Peacekeeper, the MP7 and the DSR 50 :v:

Yeah well you're right about the QBB it's not the absolute best weapon there is. But I like it. :v:

Heh, I love the Mk.48, but the best thing to do with it is sight faaar out of range of everyone else, and you can shoot them without them having much chance to fight back, and the same generally applies to the LSAT (the HAMR is weird).
In most COD games the LMGs tend to struggle though because they sit in an awkward place between ARs and Sniper rifles which the maps can't accommodate well.

So I just beat all of MW1 on Veteran, why do people call Mile High Club extremely hard? I beat it in about 30 minutes of trying. It's patience-testing, but not at all that difficult once you get around to it.

Well the thing is, it's not that difficult to handle (especially if you just hipfire the thing, which may actually end up putting more bullets in your target). But the rate at which the magazine depletes coupled with the huge reduction in range means you're not actually any better at killing people.
It's very fun to play around with it though. It's 1800 rpm iirc (base is 1250)

I don't have a large enough clip for the regular fire rate :V
I was playing around with fast mag, however I found that if I ran out of ammo in the middle of a fight, then I'd die before reloading anyway, so I'll try extended mag when I unlock it. Using FMJ and long barrel right now, might try laser sight or the fore grip to see how it affects handling later.
I'm also going to try the iron sights for the snipers, because it sounds so dumb it might just work.
Singleplayer is disturbing, I kind of have this thing against staring images, so when you were [sp]seeing that guys sister image[/sp] I freaked out.

FMJ on a SMG is pretty much useless... Even with it the penetration is still mediocre, and it's only useful 1% of the time.
Long barrel on the Skorpion is not really useful, the range is not great anyway (and since it's a %of range and not a flat increase then the long barrel doesn't give a big advantage).
Fast mags are better than ext. in most cases; the Skorpion is one of the few where extended mags can work because the base reload time is not too long. Keep in mind that ext mags increases the reloas time by 10% though...
I use laser + fast mags almost exclusively now (or silencer + fast mags).
Thanks to the high rpm the hipfire is good enough for close range without a laser, and with a laser you can hipfire to ridiculous ranges. But if you ADS and can stay on target the 32 bullets are good enough to easily kill two people, so that's why I prefer fast mags.
And because of the mediocre range the silencer doesn't give too much of a disadvantage, try it out.

I feel that the Five-seven is better for using as a primary (mostly thanks to the 20 bullets magazine), and the FNP-45 better for a secondary (better range).

I played sniper on HQ and got 90% of my kills using the tac 45.

So I have the Scorpion and M8 as my usual weapons to use now, I'm still deciding on whether I should use the Ballista or the final semi auto sniper, the semi auto one usually gives me a second chance whereas with the baillista I either hit or die.

Yeah, aside from the obvious shitty camos like dicks, girls, and troll faces, I think it'd be pretty cool. Design an actual pattern instead of just an emblem.
