Problem is when there is no chef, the chef is a lazy git or the chef died/became braindead/mysteriously disappeared, you're pretty much reliant on vending machines.

I make an effort to eat a fair amount of food from the chef, but only if he looks to have been watching it for the whole time it's been there. If I've seen food on that desk for over 10 minutes, it's a no-go, as chances are damn high that someone's chucked a load of mutagen/pacid/chloral into it.
Vending machines offer perfectly safe food, and 4no raisins are amazing from a nutriment point of view. I'd kind of like for the vending machines to offer less food than they do, but there's always the issue of the chef not being there, and HoP refusing to promote someone to kitchen. On the bright side, kitchen breakins are generally seen as fine if there's no chef.

Oh god, just made an amazing burn chamber with the help of a fellow atmos tech on /tg/. It was glorious. It had a loop for heating gasses without burning them, input, a scrubber to empty it of air, everything we'd need but a camera inside.
We turned it off two thirds of the way through the match, as we had some slight issues, decided to install a disposals chute for chucking things in (such as a welder, for easier lighting), restarted it and ended the round by jumping into the disposals chute to burn ourselves to death seconds before the shuttle arrived at centcom. Turned out I'd been an assassinate target for two lings, but was an amazing round.
