Oh boy, another Halo expansion that will be sold as if it were a full game! Enjoy you're money wasting
Oh boy, another Halo expansion that will be sold as if it were a full game! Enjoy you're money wasting
With a new campaign, new enemies, new weapons, new powerups, new gamemodes, new ways to play, new vehicles, new characters, new squad system, new game engine, new graphics, new models, new textures, new environments, new weapon remakes... May I go on?
I read the comments before I watched the video and, considering the thousands of dumbs and disagree ratings everyone who posted "looks the same" got, I was really expecting a refreshing and interesting trailer.
Instead, all I got was a few minutes of multiplayer footage that looks exactly the same as Halo 3 but with some negligible extra features like jump-packs and assassinations and more shitty gamemodes. I understand that they're new features, but the users in this thread talk about them like they're drastically changing the game and revolutionising Halo or something. Woo a grenade launcher. That will surely be worth my hard-earned cash.
I have to say the only thing that interested me in the slightest was the very nice animations for the assassinations. That's about it though. The rest didn't look worth my time or interest, let alone my money.
I could say the same about modern warfare two
Oh boy, another Halo expansion that will be sold as if it were a full game! Enjoy you're money wasting
I have never once Wasted my money on a Halo Game! (Excluding that shit excuse called halo wars) I don't know how retards like you can call this game an Expansion! The game is in a completly new engine. new graphics, to models and materials! NOTHING is used from Halo 3! What i'm trying to say is. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT! EAT A DICK!
Anyone who says this is the same as Halo 3 has never played halo 3, at all.
I'm actually pretty excited, looks much better than Halo 3. Hopefully they kept the Armor Permutation system, I actually like that. Though I hope they just make a metric fuckton of armor pieces, very few in H3 looked good.
I must say from the art direction and story direction and such I've been weary about Reach. Escpeiaclly considering how they kept on saying they weren't going to make any more Halo games but then they made more. Reach seemed like reaching. :P
But fuck it. This is as awesome as it can be.
they said they aren't continuing Master Chief's story. They'll keep making Halo games but they wont be about Master Chief.
Even if he gets a new game is up to Microsoft to decide.

Its not up to microsoft to decide in any way shape or form! 343 industries ( the group that broke from bungie, who was given the halo franchise. Will decide to future of Halo after reach! Master Chiefs story will be continued. But it doesn't have to in a game.
um, last I heard Microsoft actually owns Master Chief... I may be wrong but thats what I remember.
wow this looks very good, it's getting my hopes up and still in Beta!
um, last I heard Microsoft actually owns Master Chief... I may be wrong but thats what I remember.
Microsoft dont own shit when it comes to chief. Or anything halo anymore.
yes they do actually. I got mixed up with what I said. Bungie stills owns Master Chief as a character (this means they can continue his story but can only use the Halo name with permission) and Microsoft owns the Halo franchise name ("Halo" Wars).
Halo: Reach was in development before the slip occurred so it only makes sense it kept the name Halo: Reach instead of just being called Reach or some other name the involves the plant Reach and the Halo story.
Also I believe Microsoft has Bungie on a contract for two Halo games, i.e. ODST and Reach.
Also I believe Microsoft has Bungie on a contract for two Halo games, i.e. ODST and Reach.
Nope that contract ended after Halo 3 buddy.
No, any copy of Halo 3:ODST (Disc One) Will Contain the Halo Reach Beta. That means ODST is required. and No. Renting it wont work.
Aw. I rented ODST a while ago and it told me I was invited to the beta.

Wow.. Two late, yet i was the first one to post this, And it the time at was only leaked at one site.
And people will stop rating you bad stuff if you don't get in such a fit over it.
Nope that contract ended after Halo 3 buddy.
except they are going to keep making halo games. MS won't let them make something for another platform.
except they are going to keep making halo games. MS won't let them make something for another platform.
That would be the case if MS owns 343 Industries (New owners of the Halo Franchise after Reach)

I agree. Of course I'm still going to buy it and of course enjoy it (because I still enjoy Halo 3), but I don't think it's going to feel that much different. Of course I can't judge the game based on a trailer so I obviously can't make a well-informed opinion, but this is pretty much how I think right now.
Why don't they get rid of the stupid fucking "waving arms in mid air" animation? It's getting old. Shown at 24 seconds.
It wouldn't be Halo without air swimming.
I could say the same about modern warfare two
You could say a lot more about Modern Warfare 2, like that all the crap they added actually made the game worse. At least the trivial little features here actually look like they might marginally improve on the Halo 3 gameplay.
To those who say's this looks exactly like the other multiplayers :
they added dropships

and jetpacks
and new weapons
and new gametypes
and new vehicles
and new armor
and new maps
I could go on. It looks like, if anything, they're completely revamping multiplayer. If anyone says it looks the same, they obviously don't know what they're talking about.

Coming from a completely biased view of a Halo-fan who wets himself at the slightest new feature, yes obviously this game is going to seem completely different and a revolution from Halo 3.
But it's not. Sure it's like every other sequel in that it just adds a few features in, but it's not really anything to get excited about.
they added dropships
Omg this is like a new age of gaming or something.

So you're completely disregarding every good aspect or new feature of the game and just nitpicking at the little faults that the series has with it's multiplayer. You're in no place to judge a game either if you just throw everything presented to you out the window and say "this game will suck 'cuz it's Halo."
Nope that contract ended after Halo 3 buddy.
No I'm pretty sure they got two Halo games from Bungie as part of the seperation deal?
I think the dropships are going to be the best part. I hope they have some awesome invasion style gamemodes.

This may actually change my opinion of the non-ODST halo games.
Looks like 3rd party UT mod for me.
Ok. Another arcade shooter. I don't say that must be bad, but, don't we already have enough of those?
Weird double post.
