The roughly 2000 potatoes/hour and increased %/hour
I am not sure if you are just a bad troll or easily confused by your scripts. There is no increase in anything.

30 minutes ago it was around 300-400 potatoes per hour, now it's ~2000, I assumed that meant a large jump in potato earnings which is leading to faster completion times, but I might have this completely backwards as you implied, so feel free to point that out.
Wow, 28 hours till aux power, we're definitely not gonna reach that, so i guess it's gonna be midnight when this crap comes out.
way to go, valve.
With this stupid arg/ poorly disguised marketing plot, i pretty much lost all the hype about portal 2. it's not even gonna make a difference as to when i'm gonna play it.
they better speed this up a bit so it's not when everyone's asleep, or they just pissed everyone off.

Yeah it's stupid how valve forced everyone to participate, right.
Sorry if I appeared rude, but your numbers are so wrong I suspected a photoshop troll.
The Ball's current percent per hour is 0.73% not 2.627%, Audiosurf's is 1.17% not 2.627%. Either way it would be extremely unlikely to have both games at the same growth rate (2.627%) just like your screenshots implies.
There has been no increase in growth rates - in fact progress is continuing to slow down as people are realizing we most likely won't win more than 6 hours in total.
Also, an increase in potatoes earned would have nothing to do at all with some kind of overclocking being active, would it?
I hope for a release today.

The counter you're using is taking info from when it started, the one they use takes information from the past hour.

Do yourself a favor.
Dont.

As smasher just said, you are using outdated data. Check your data before you call people trolls!

I lost the link/bookmark for the G@H percentage bag thing. Anyone have the link to it?

Even if I were an increase in potatoes earned would have nothing to do at all with the "overclocking" of CPUs Jeep hinted at. That just makes no sense at all. -.-
I hope for a release today.
I wouldn't count on it.
Right now it's: Hours ahead of scheduled release: 0 days, 09:50:02
that was at 12 hours just 4 hours ago, and just keeps on dropping.
I hope for a release today.
Fly to Australia and you might have a chance.

That'd put him forwards, not backwards you nitwit.
That'd put him forwards, not backwards you nitwit.
He'd fly to Australia after it's Tuesday there, thus not witnessing a change to "tomorrow", and he'd get the game today.
I feel insulted that you'd think I would believe the sun rose in the west.
Make up your mind Nibwoddle.
Look at the last 3 posts ratings.
Am I the only person who has lost almost all his hype for the game because of this event?
http://cpucount.zapto.org/
not rigged my fucking ass
they've all got the same pattern and rate around the time it's announced that they're the new focus. valve probably turns up the rate of progress soon as it becomes the focus. whether you think it's rigged or not, valve is clearly manipulating something
Am I the only person who has lost almost all his hype for the game because of this event?
Nope, same for me.
If Valve had done this Potato shit two days before, we would have had Portal 2 now.
I feel bad for all those people who spent all that time finding and decoding all the ARG puzzles only for it to lead up to this disappointment.
Nope, same for me.
Maybe it's just because I've woken up or something, but I don't don't feel any excitement at all, not like I did 3 days ago.
i hope valve learns from this, you can't announce the potential to release a game early but tamper the results to be actually a few hours early and not days. at least the money went to the indie game developers, though valve probably took most of it
I feel bad for all those people who spent all that time finding and decoding all the ARG puzzles only for it to lead up to this disappointment.
I thought the ARG wasn't over?
I'm still as excited for portal 2 as I've ever been, this event doesn't change what the game is, and shedding some hours off the release date by playing games (lets face it, we would have been doing that anyway) it's not a bad thing at all in my eyes.

it's still a failure if the majority of the fanbase have given up and don't care about it anymore

over an event that you don't even have to participate in
some fanbase huh?
Even if I were an increase in potatoes earned would have nothing to do at all with the "overclocking" of CPUs Jeep hinted at. That just makes no sense at all. -.-
You aren't making much sense at all.
over an event that you don't even have to participate in

you have to participate if you want it released early
that's like saying oh don't bother voting you don't need to vote at all
it's still a failure if the majority of the fanbase have given up and don't care about it anymore
I don't really think you can speak for a collective voice of the whole fan-base, the number of potatoes have gone up about 50,000 in the last couple hours and audiosurf has increased quite a bit, people are still playing the games and I doubt 4,300 people would be on audiosurf right now if it wasn't for this event.
[editline]18th April 2011[/editline]
On a monday morning too.
I keep waking up on the morning thinking valve might've cut some slack and released the game. :smith:
I must say, i've lost a tiny bit of respect from valve from this event.
