If you own Killing Floor, make sure you got the potatoes even if you're not playing. We'll have a relatively small impact, so it'll be a lot better overall if we get potatoes now so it boosts the large current players.
I would get the remaining ones, but Killing Floor doesn't want to load any multiplayer servers/maps. It seems to stop responding during loading, then starts taking up 1.3 or 1.4gb of my 2gb of ram. This also rapes the computer in the background.
It's only worked properly once, so if anyone has an idea on how to fix this, it would be perfect awesome of you. Just sexy.
Also, it's taking up this much space because it's not responding. If the game runs normally, it doesn't take up more than 600mb of my ram.
Well, that's the prediction.

I'm guessing that if we reach a certain amount of potatos, our efforts will go much faster and we could P2 Sunday.
That is if they aren't fucking with us.

I'm hoping 300k. or so.
About 18.
No we're fucking not. 1 hour and 30 minutes like I stated before.
Check the big bolded timer against the default scheduled timer. It's 1 hour, 30 minutes and 28 seconds ahead of schedule. Previously it was 51 minutes, 50 seconds. We've been given around 39/40 minutes boost
(Apologies for the mini-rant)
If you do the math youll see the current expected release date is still Tuesday. If we finished 3 games a day it would be Tuesday morning, anything less is not enough. Already over 1 day in and only 2 done so I expect Tuesday morning.
This is so stupid.
At the rate we're going, we're probably going to have it done by Monday, which is stupid because the official date is the following day. All this effort just to have the game come out ONE day earlier? Fuck this.
Still a day early
god damn this audiosurf potato is the most annoying thing ever it's pissing me off oh my god
so i'm riding along and i see all these fucking cubes and i'm like alright cool
and now there's seven of them and they always find a way to block off the bottom so there is ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKING POSSIBLE WAY you can get them to the bottom without overfilling one and even then the chances of moving them down are still fucked out of your favor and then the game always awards me with like 40k and that is nowhere near the needed point score
I think valve tipped the point requirement because of that whole twelve second icy murderous thing
I think valve tipped the point requirement because of that whole twelve second icy murderous thing
All I did for that one was grab every orange one I could and moved the cubes over to an empty column. Had around 380k points with clean finish and Mach 11 bonus or what ever the proper names for those are
If anything we should try completing the other games that require less CPUs to complete. Maybe the more completions we have the faster the others progress?

Are you on easy or hard?

currently easy
So far the trend is;
"Whichever has the highest bar after this one is our next priority".
They're counting on everyone else to raise the bars of everyone else. Strangely, I hate this alot. They should do the least amount of CPU games first. Get them out of the way.
[editline]16th April 2011[/editline]
Also, this is the error message I get from Killing Floor when it tries to connect to ANYTHING online.

Strange, occasionly I have a similar problem. When I first installed Killing Floor, I could play fine for a week, but after that every time I join a server everything would freeze, the other players wouldn't responds, and I'd be stuck in spectate.
The only way I found to fix it would be to reinstall, but after a while it would start fucking up again.
currently easy
What I did was go for every block possible, there's always a match when I do.
Also, make sure to end with your grid completely empty. You get a huge bonus for that.
[editline]16th April 2011[/editline]
Fuck this I'm going to Cogs and Rush. I suggest you all do the same.
We're doing the higher games first because then we can get more done by the time this ends.
Get AAA... done before 11:00 and I'll believe we can get over half the games done by tomorrows end
We're doing the higher games first because then we can get more done by the time this ends.
I say the more CPUs we get completed the faster the other ones work.

It doesn't actually reduce the timer until a bar is completed. Assuming we won't finish them all before the release, it makes sense to do the smaller ones first to get as many bars filled before the release. Unless, of course, the smaller games are actually "worth" less and the big ones like Killing Floor reduce more time. Then if we do all the smaller quicker games it won't actually help much. I'm not sure.
Also, have we confirmed running the Cogs Demo for example will contribute to the Cogs bar? That's important since a lot of these games have demos.
I'm slightly annoyed by the ARG wiki, according to them I won't be able to do much until they reach number nine on their to-play list.
I'll just idle in Audiosurf

Idling in anything that isn't finished still helps us, just we cannot receive the benefits until a day or so later.
The bar for AAA seems to be moving quite quickly...
a wild X appears before the potato counter
I'm pretty sure that X has always been there.
Not-so-protip: a good way to idle in Audiosurf is by running the game in Visualizer mode, and choosing a long album without any DRM(or else it crashes on that song, so it could be all fine and dandy until you reach a certain song...which is still a risk anyway) and then disabling the audio for the game in the background so you can go on with what you're doing.
[editline]16th April 2011[/editline]
Albeit Audiosurf seems ridiculously temperamental and crashes for no good reason...
Not sure if everyone knows (I don't want to read 34 pages), but here is the priority list:

Spread the word!!!
Picture in OP is outdated, update it please
this is the most brilliant fucking marketing scheme i've ever seen in my whole damn life
Gaben, you sly son of a bitch
It is recommend that you quit and restart the game every few hours.
I believe this means that they created an anti-idle program. If it wants us to quit and restart thats the only thing I can think of. This means you should still idle but restart the game every now and again. (about every 2 to 3 hours)

Fuck the priority list.
DO THE SMALL ONES FIRST, MAYBE PROGRESSION GOES FASTER IF WE HAVE MORE CPUs COMPLETED.
