Someone send a mail to some high person in valve, and that person said that when there are enough potatoes, GLaDOS might overclock the CPU's, so then it will probably load a lot faster.

I'm trying to get the audiosurf potato. The wikisays "ninja mono" but it just redirects me to pointman. And I just can't complete it even if I'm following the audiosurf guide on the wiki.

You don't need an Audiosurf account, and unless you got a terminal in your Steam overlay to pop up once you beat the song, you did it wrong. You need to play the TEST song as pointman easy to get it, and you should surf around with a Portal gun and get gold. Otherwise, you did it wrong :(

Did it ask for a password?
Either it asks for a password (Which you then have to enter to get the potato), or it plays an "audio transmission"/"file transfer" and you get the potato then and there.

It just played an audio transmission, then it just sat there.
Then i closed audio surf down to check my profile.
