If it took about a day to get to around 50% and its speeding up then maybe we can play it tomorrow.
Interesting, never thought about it that way.
But I thought the overall progress bar only reflected the average of the individual bars completed, and since games like KF and Amnesia are pretty much insurmountable before Tuesday, I think we only will get a 12-20 hours-ahead-of-time release...
Still, it's something. :unsmith:
If you meant what I think you did, Even if you get the PC copy retail, it still goes on your steam account and it will unlock at the same time it does for everyone else.
What I meant is for copies that arent linked to steam accounts.
Is it possible for a copy to not be linked?
Something else thats oddly a funny coincidence
[sp]Wheatley puts in AAAAAA as a password to GlaDOS[/sp]
Valve be trollin

When everyone focus fires on KF and Amnesia they will go much faster is the intended plan, right now no one is focusing on those as they are the longest and the quickest ones should go first.

I would laugh very hard if AAAAAA was the only game we had to complete to release Portal 2 early. And then go beat my head on the desk.
-snip cause i cant read-
Make it rain boxes
I am about a 50% release.
Also,
Superdinoman, your mother seems like a very nice person I'd like to be around, and it is rude of people to make jokes of a remarkable woman.
It seems to me like there is a specific order in which to play games. Earlier I checked and The Wonderful End of the World was the highest on the list and now AAAAAAAA is. Maybe if we all played AAAAAAA It could finish that one and then another one would spike.
You are SO LATE

If we're right in that each bar completed speeds up the others, KF and Amnesia shouldn't be that impossible.

I would be more mad at the fact you didn't point it out earlier. :colbert:
Even if we do donate CPU time to this, I'm guessing it will only be cutting 6 or 7 hours of time. Hope it makes a difference in someone's life.
If it keeps going this slow it is going to take three hours to complete AaaAaa!
I would be more mad at the fact you didn't point it out earlier. :colbert:
I would be happy to finally play the fucking game. :v:

Needs to go as fast as it was earlier the fact that it slowed down is suspicious. :tinfoil:

By the way I just rewatched "Meet Wheatley". I didn't see anything regarding [sp]GLaDOS' power being at 50%[/sp] at what point in the video did that happen?
I think the 20 something thousand people playing CSS should help out.
Well everyone's going to bed now
They could just leave it up.

Wasnt in Meet Wheatley this was from the released game which is why I spoiler tagged.
If we're right in that each bar completed speeds up the others, KF and Amnesia shouldn't be that impossible.
I look at it like that: there are 60:50 hours left on the scheduled launch.
We completed 2 games, which took off 1:30 of that time, leaving 59:20 as the projected launch.
All the uncompleted games combined need to reduce the time left by 59:20, then.
The time one game removes is proportionate to the time it takes to fill that game's bar.
Conclusion: we can't possibly complete each game's bar noticably earlier. 6-8 hours earlier release it is.
It astounds me where people take that endless supply of optimism from. It won't matter that much in 6 months if Portal 2 released one or half a day early anyways.

Ooooohhhhh. Well then nevermind.
Also, 25 posts to 2000.
I'm pretty sure Portal 2 releases at 50%.
[editline]17th April 2011[/editline]
Most logical thing for Valve to do and nobody would be pissed anymore
[sp]In Portal 2 GlaDOS power setting was at 50% when you are with Wheatley[/sp]
Might be interesting to note, its not entirely a spoiler but who knows with people.
Link to video & time this happened?
I'm watching the Meet Wheatley trailer on the part where [sp]GlaDOS begins powering up, and I haven't found any indication of a power meter.[/sp]
(Sorry for earlier lack of spoilers, didn't see your post about it being non-trailer info)

I don't waste my time with stupid easy kiddie games like super ball boy and The meat. Those are for people without skill BOOM HEADSHOT Xd

Only thing is...if there could be a 50% release, then what happens at 100%? Not that we'd ever find out, considering that 100% would never be reached due to the fact that everybody will be playing Portal 2.
I am certain it won't release at 50% percent.
