We can't know because we don't know how many minutes each game takes away from the release time.
So far we got 2 hours, 30 minutes.
It's Sunday.
Also are you trying to say that.. I'm so confused. Because our time is +8 or something, we will get the game after the US when it's an international release time? Do you know how timezones work?
We can guess.
TWEOTW took away 51 minutes 50 seconds
Kick It took us up to 1 hour 30 minutes and 28 seconds
That's a 39/40 minute boost
Now we're up to 2 hours 29 minutes and 21 seconds
That's a boost of about 59 minutes
I'm actually thinking that easy games that we focus on will give us a 40/50/60 minute boost
For all we know we could get a 30 minute boost for this game, and a 1:30 hour boost for the next
I aint gunna do it anymore.
i mean i can't stand doin this if it's going to just be released a few hours before.
unless someone at valve comes up with a crazy idea to jumpstart my enthusiasm with this cpu bullshit then i'll just wait for portal 2.
i mean the Countdown not unlocking portal 2 early was alone a middle finger, this is just rubbing it in our faces.
Just release portal 2 already or rig the chart in our favor valve. you arn't going to lose anything by doing it.
The closer we get to the set release date, the more we lose faith in releasing Portal 2 earlier.
Thanks for that. Good to see how active VALVe has been for all this.
Too bad it doesn't count multicore CPUs, i.e. dual, quad or six. Then again since most have 4 cores these days it would be way too fast.
Oh SPUF, you so crazy.
I laughed heartily. Everyone at the SPUF thinks that Glados@Home is rigged by Valve.
that's because it is
Think of it this way, valve arent going to let it be released this weekend because you can still pre-order until monday. They aren't going to let you pre-order it when it's released.
Oh man Valve got caught cheating I'm so mad, wait they said they didn't, phew crisis averted.
It's like a bank robber holding a place up and walking out with a large sack of cash, he gets stopped "You robbed that bank hands in the air!" Only to be met with a "No I didn't look these bags have my name on it!" and being allowed to walk free.
That was a shitty comparison but whatever, they flat out bullshitted about the golden wrenches so I don't trust them at all on this. The games being released when they want it to be and I doubt it's going to be any earlier then what they have planned.

I am sure that Valve, the people who own the Steam system can change any part of any of their games whenever they want to.
Even if that means skipping the real launch date and launching it on the spot
Looks like I am just an naive idiot for not believing Valve would rig this after such an awesome ARG. If that graph posted earlier is not fake, it is pretty much proof this whole part of the ARG is just an elaborate troll.

Even if it DOES release a day earlier, this is still a load of bullshit. Valve should have started this earlier to get significant results.

What did you except? Marketing, that's all.
Nevermind just the enhancement script fucking with me.. Why would they do that.
Is this new?
09:01 - Potatoes multiplier: 3.53
09:01 - Currently saving: 20.040 Hours
Monday, April 18, 2011 19:57:36 (Your timezone) - Portal 2 released
Or is some enhancement script fucking with me?
It's the browser plugin.

Mmmmebbe...
It also shortens the counter about halfway down (to the predicted time)
I am so incredibly disappointed now. Why would they do that.
Who do what?

No he means for us in the EU... although the release time will technically be at the same time for everyone, because of timezones the US could see there game being unlocked in mid day, while us in the UK see it unlock in the evening or possibly early the following day, depending on release time.
Who do what?
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/gladoshomeenhancer/reviews/
This addon suddenly made it say "09:01 - Potatoes multiplier: 3.53; 09:01 - Currently saving: 20.040 Hours"
in the textual output for whatever reason.
Also I was using the addon and not a script because I wanted to find out how the numbers are calculated.
It calculates that info from the available data, what's the problem?
Where's the source for that info? When was said that the potatoes do that?
Right on the GLaDOS@Home site?
It calculates that info from the available data, what's the problem?
Isn't the potato multiplier figure basically a guess?
Well it is calculated based on the potatoes, but of course it is only an assumption how it works.
I bet it will get released overnight for Europeans.
Monday - Tuesday too.
Well, guess I'm gonna turn on the addon again and be all optimistic.
We should make these the "Anti-Earth Days - Turn on your PC at full power to achieve nothing!"
Just 5% and we've done RUSH
