Let's not forget that Valve used to delay their games for a year or more too, while Portal has only been delayed for 4 months.
It was put back a year wasn't it, then it was going to be released in February so that makes it delayed by a year and 2 months, so it really isn't any different from Valves normal delays.
i dont understand why valve still puts a release date on their games

Dont forget it was supposed to come out tomorrow, but they pushed it back a day.
And now it'll come out on that same day.
Okay guys, apparently we should focus on Toki Tori now.

I was thinking about Bit.Trip Beat after Cogs.
Well if we keep up the current speed of 1.28% progress per hour and considering we're at 61.13% that puts the release date at about 8PM GMT on Monday, so people saying it only shaved off a few hours are really not looking at the facts.
Also if the overclocks happens at 500,000 taters then we may get it earlier.
Shouldn't you finish Cogs first?

Cogs is already closed to finish, so it would be nice to get a head start on Toki Tori
Shouldn't you finish Cogs first?
People playing the game normally for fun will finish it off while we build up another game.
booo

I heard no one plays Cogs for fun.
I'm tired of waiting the Portal 2. :saddowns:
I'm afraid that when the game finally comes out, I'll not be interested in it. Too much hype.
That's just a ridiculous thing to say. The game will still be amazing.
This thing might have caused a lot of frustration, but imagine how Portal 2 has recieved LOADS of media coverage because of this, even though the concept generally sucks balls.

Edit: whell i'm late

And I must add that this is an amazing marketing strategy! There should be an award given for getting this many people to buy and play games they might have overlooked in an attempt to unlock a game that these same people already purchased. It's very genius...on a marketing standpoint of course.
I like Valve caring about Indie developers and I like an earlier release, but this is one of those Valve strategies that just stinks of one of Valve's clever marketing schemes. Only Valve could pull off this many sales in such a short-time and get it considered a "fun game" or a "diversion" any other company just doesn't have the brains to pull it off. I mean we really haven't gained anything as we already owned Portal 2.

Yah. Valve are like: BUY PORTAL 2! Then they're like: BUY POTATO SACK AND GET PORTAL 2 EARLY! Maybe it'll end with: BUY THE ENTIRE STEAM CATALOGUE 8 TIMES OVER TO GET EP3 1 MINUTE EARLY!

Thank god their department doesn't work for a different corporation...something like Ben & Jerry's. Eat 1,000, 000 cones and we'll release this awesome ass flavor early. Oh man, the cows!

Valve was like
cogs is going so sloooow
if you're going to switch off early, do it at 98% or something
we don't need the loss
Killing Floor is refusing full stop to play anything. Solo, or online. Any map joins just cause it to Blackscreen and then it tries to respond and whilst doing that takes up 1.4gb of my RAM, completely raping my computer.
Does anyone have any god damn suggestions?

Try verifying your cache. Delete killingfloor.ini, playing with directd instead of directd9.0.
Also try running at lower res.

Direct what? You didn't state the number! :argh:
Just the default one, with no number next to it. there is Directd, directd9.0 and software.
[editline]e[/editline]
Direct 3D
I'm going to laugh if finishing Cogs induces overclock mode and all those people who said to just ignore Cogs were wasting a bunch of time. :smug:
