why don't you just alt+tab and run it in the background
Only thing i like about xfire is the recorder.

I use Xfire and love it. :smug:
xfire is good at broadcasting except for the times when you have over 100 people watching a WoW broadcast
thats when I lose all hope in xfire's community
if you want to record/make pics, i recommend something like WeGame. its even higher quality.
No winamp support? God damnit.
Nobody uses Xfire
You realize X-Fire has a larger user-base right?
gone off xfire now....

Yeah.......

Look at the list of new supported games though, it's very obvious that they just typed the wrong year.
Xfire is good if you want to Broadcast, record or take screenshots realy easy.
Also the voice chat in it is so much better the steam voice chat. and also the chatrooms is like a Free Ventrilo chat. And its awesome for lazy peoples like me. xD

Yes but Steam is the main source to buy All of the Valve games. And that explains all.
Also you need Steam to run the Valve Games.
Don't be stupid mctobe, it's obvious that steam has more users participating in just the community part of their platform. Xfire is useful, but it's a chat client with some extra niceities attached, just how it should be.
ill stop using xfire only when steam overlay has a clock
It does have. Atleast the beta UI

He wasn't being serious
I used Xfire.
Then Steam friends started working

Im just saying why Steam is so popular. I don't care if Steam have more users. Who the hell cares about the users, Well i don't. If anyone cares about it you just think this is a competition between Xfire and Steam. And its also true that Steam would not have this much users without the Valve games like Hl2, CS:1.6-S, TF1-2 or L4D(2). The only reason i use xfire is for the tools and better chat. And also that i Hate MSN. And the reason i use steam is for the other tools and a bit more used chat but not that good as Xfire's chat are. Also i need to launch the valve games.
Steam and Xfire work realy good together. And almost all of the communitys is made for CS, TF2 and Sourcemod games.
Also other games that steam sells. But if you don't know already, Xfire have a online store now to.
Windowed mode and/or builtin keyboard WMP hotkeys. Works fine for me. I still use XFire for its handy system clock in games that don't have a windowed mode. Although it really makes my blood boil that some games can't go windowed when such a vast majority are fine with it.
